Jag XF Sportbrake - nicest looking estate?
Discussion
Keep seeing these and being struck by how good they look. I've always been of the opinion Audi made the nicest looking estates but I think the XF Sportbrake might have knocked them off that spot...
Lovely looking thing. Feel free to tell me they are actually a bit rubbish then I can stop lusting after one.

Appears the biggest engine in these is the 3.0 V6 Turbocharged Diesel 240, Is that it?? I think they should produce one of these with a nice big capacity V8 or something equally silly...
That would raise a bit of interest!
EDIT: I stand corrected just discovered the,5.0 litre V8 550 Supercharged Petrol XFR-S, NOW i'm interested!

Apart from the petrol ones, like the supercharged V8 petrol one???NEXT!
Back on!!
Reviews suggest the size sits between a 3 series and 5 series which I find appealing, the 5 being just that little bit lumpy for my liking
I like mine.
It's fast enough (it's only the 200bhp Sport), the ride is better than the saloon and the fuel economy is excellent, considering I drive it pretty much everywhere at either 0 or 90 miles an hour .
It's a company car, and in this spec (Black pack, Winter pack and Meridian sound)a little higher on company car tax than I would have liked but it was all that was available at the time, and they change it about every six months so I'm not that bothered.
Boot is still too small for the dog though.

I'm not sure why they don't offer the 3.0 supercharged V6 in the Sportbrake as they do in the saloon.
The R-S is probably too extreme for most, great though they are. I suppose they must have reason to believe that everyone who buys an estate doesn't rank the need for a rude soundtrack and petrol style delivery very highly, preferring MPG and silencing instead.

Annoying isn't it. That engine would be the sweet spot for me.The R-S is probably too extreme for most, great though they are.
