I can't tell the difference between FWD, RWD & 4WD

& given the choice between Porsches & a range rover, I normally take the asmatic Fiat 500.
That’s easy

Fwd you go through the hedge nose first
Rwd you go through the hedge backwards
4wd you go through the hedge roof first

Three for me

I like watching Monster Trucks and related loud American racing (I’ve even watched NASCAR)

I once replaced the suspension bushes with wooden blocks on a car I was about to sell

I’m lucky enough to have a range of vehicles from 1 to 12 cylinders, but the one that I go to for an everyday trip - 10 year old 1.1 litre 54hp Panda. (It seems I’m not alone on the Pandas)

I love driving small cars with the smallest, least powerful engine. That way, I can spend most of my time driving it absolutely flat out, carrying as much speed through corners as possible.

I have raced a 2CV. Fun, fun, fun!

Once went to some friends of my ex-wife
We decided to have a fish supper
Being the good guy I am I offered to fetch them
‘Take this’ says friend (who got in after us), throwing me some keys, ‘it’s a courtesy car whilst mine is in dock’
Went outside, got in and as I started to reverse off the drive, realised the true horror of my situation
It was a Ssangyong Rodius.
Considered walking to said chippie but braved it out and drove there
When I walked in, it was like the parting of The Red Sea, people moved aside like I had bubonic plague and I went to the front of the queue.
I like the horrible thing for that reason alone...
Thank you, and good night.

^ You could get some decent compensation for that experience. Have you asked a lawyer?

In one day I drove a £500 Renault Scenic and a £70,000 Audi (I wont say which, in case some poor soul on here has one) and the Scenic was more fun to drive and overall more enjoyable motoring experience.

Large Hydropneumatic citroens!

I’ve owned 3 XM V6 (first one was crap the other two excellent).

CX Turbo, DS23/DS21 and (very much) an SM are on the list for owning if I have enough space. Wife says I have too many cars now!

I really, really want a Nissan Bluebird and a standard, two door saloon Vauxhall Chevette.

Also, I don’t like the way an E46 M3 CSL sounds...

I'm the same. I like the induction noise but I think the exhaust noise sounds crap(too tinny/waspy/raspy for me).

My guilty motoring secret is I love the mini R50. They are so fun to drive, and I think I had more fun in that than my lardy old BMWs.
I’m lucky enough to have access to a W12 and a couple of V8s, but for fun the Mini wins every time.

It’s the other way around for me! I don’t dislike like the exhaust sound but I really don’t like the induction noise and I’ve never been able to explain why. Glorious engine though, that straight six is a work of art.

Yes and I agree it is a very nice engine and I liked it in my Z4M. The exhaust noise from the S54 engine drives me mad though. Whenever I watch one of those car leaving videos and there is a E46 M3 on it...the noise the exhaust makes just grates on me for some reason!

Yes it had a high centre of gravity, so there was a bit of roll in the corners, but honestly I see why RenaultSport cars are so good to drive when even a lowly 1.4 Scenic handles decent.

Audi can learn a lot from Renault in the handling department.

Also space wise they have great versatility, we have had mattresses, three piece suites and all sorts of stuff in ours.

I prefer reclining on my sofa watching programs about repairing cars to actually lying under my own car in the rain with the pages of the Haynes manual flipping over in the wind.
