I love old Volvo estates. I particularly like the 960 SE, the favourite of Golders Green in the 90's.
I also love Volvo estates but 245s and 740s are my favourites. I also have a soft spot for the Nissan Cube and think they should do a larger version. I have owned many, many cars, fast and slow but the 5 worst nails were an Austin Maxi, a 3 pot Corsa, a Maestro, a Rover 45 and an Impreza. Curiously, for the benefit of anyone who has never driven one, the Impreza was the one I was most pleased to be rid of.
My real guilty secret is that with a Supra Turbo, a TVR Cerbera, a 350Z and an turbocharged MEV Exocet to pick from I almost always choose drive a Chrysler Grand Voyager and it's not even the slightly quicker 3.3 petrol version. I must be getting old but it's just so comfortable.

I'm reviving this thread...
I test drove a current shape Astra. My wife didn't like it (it's to replace her current car), but I did.
No feel, but handled very well, light, and supple suspension on broken tarmac meant there was more fun to be had. The 1 litre, three-cylinder engine was a game little powerplant too.
A bit like a PH Katy Perry but more embarrassing: I drove a base spec Astra, and I liked it...
I've been pondering having a try in the 200bhp 1.6 to replace my daily driver and suggesting if if be a good balance between commuting and fun when the opportunity presents.
Yes, I'm pondering buying an Astra "for fun". I feel like I should have in my PH card this week.
