The Anti-Knob thread. Good Deeds on the Roads
Discussion
When i was in my younger days, i was following a 'sports car' of some description on my way home.
Part of the route involves a left and right hand ninety degree bend.
It was cold and damp on the roads and they were a little dicey, however, said sports car didn't slow for the first bend and went straight ahead side swiping a tree and into the field.
i stopped, ran over to check he was ok.
When i opened the drivers door, it smelt like a brewery inside.
Needless to say, after checking he was ok, i shut the door on him, got back in my car, left him there and drove home.

I was on a short break in London last week, walking down Camden road one evening I heard a crunch and saw that a moped had hit the back of a Prius (I know I know) causing damage to the bumper and smashing the front mudguard off the bike. The driver was just getting out and the biker just pushed back and rode off flat out down the road. It all happened quickly. Luckily I've got eyes like a st house rat and got his number. Went over and told the guy who was quite grateful and told him I'd be right pissed off if it had happened to me.
On an early and icey sunday morning I had an accident on an autobahn slip road a few years back.
As I got out and took stock, another car appeared, then pulled over and the Lady driver got out, made sure I was OK and then ran down the road placing her warning triangle.
She then drove away leaving me to shout my thanks.
Another in Germany was when someone reversed into my car and drove away.
An old Lady hung around until I appeared and gave me all the details

You need to go to specsavers if you believe that a Mondeo is a supercar.
Anyway, I'll assume you don't want all your posts deleted ..... except of course for your Nazis one ....
Back on topic now.
Supercars and Rarities. There are fewer MkI Mondeo's than Ferrari 458s in the UK and being a manual the one in the photo is a far better car. Anyway, I'll assume you don't want all your posts deleted ..... except of course for your Nazis one ....

Had an A35 a couple of years ago as an affordable classic. It developed an unfortunate occasional ceasing to proceed. It'd be fine later/when recovered/in the morning.
Anyway I'd got within a 1/4 mile of visiting Mrs Noise senior and the car stopped. At a junction. Blocking same. A Freelander passing asked if I was OK. On my negative response he offered a tow before even finding out how far I needed to go.
Thanks in hindsight,
regards,
Jet
P.S. It was the coil. Eventually it failed completely thank goodness and I was able to diagnose the weak spark.

I had an insignia push me into the outside lane on a hatched double motorway sliproad on the M6 yesterday, but got what appeared to be a sheepish and sincere 'sorry' apology wave from him. We all cock up sometimes, and it was refreshing to see someone acknowledge and apologise for their mistake.
All cars should have a switch, for a 'Thanks', 'Sorry' or 'Space please' sign to light up in the back window. It's not a terrible idea is it?! It would probably make some drivers feel a bit less stressed when somebody makes a mistake.

Totally deluded; when you consider aspirational. Anyway, enough trolling, end of discussion and move on; and thread back on topic.Kinky said:

Pistonheads where hypocrisy matters.
Driving along a two lane stretch of road this morning on the way to work - one of those where the left lane is for left and straight ahead and the right lane is for turning right. I'm in the right lane pulling up alongside a guy to my left. As the front of my bonnet got level with the front of his driver's door he indicated right and immediately began pulling into my lane. I gave him a quick blast of the horn whereby he moved straight back into his own lane and looked across at me, mouthed 'sorry' and put his hand up to apologise. What is the world coming to?
