The aspect that I enjoyed with the car above is that the wear/tear/sun baked paint and the burnt smoke from the cutting of the rear arches were all due the Californian environment and the lack of budget of the guy doing it.
You have the budget, but you roughed it up to make it rustic, worn and aged in the same way as another Mockney.
Thoroughly enjoyed the vid too. Great bond between father and son and what a luck pair to have a stable of cars like that.
The 240s, before the bloat set in at Datsun/Nissan Z cars design team, lovely. I had a technician in the early 80s with one when I drove a 2.2 911 and I knew the Japanese had really arrived. The whole design package was just right ant the engine was great, now look at how a few mods mature it.
Love the 240Z, but neither of these are my cup of tea. The rusty one would just look better if it didn't look like it has been in a barn for the last 20 years.
The restored one looks ace, but no fan of the bodykit, much prefer the shape without it.
Anyway nice set of cars and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Nice to see these cars still get the admiration and care they deserve.
