I would love to buy that Merc. I need a new car and as soon as I've confirmed a new job I want to get something from this thread. Can I ask the more experienced classic car owners in here - is it a painful and expensive experience? That Merc above for example, would anything going wrong cost the earth to put right?

Perhaps a smidge too scene, but it looks like a nice car.

We've seen this on the 1-5 thread, but it's too nice not to have a wider audience.

Top Gear may feel that that attention should be focussed on Peugeot's failures, but I disagree.

Now that I've bought something else and stopped thinking about this, I can point out the lovely looking E34 Touring - comes with a V8 and a manual box too.

I had the version with another litre and another gear - it was lovely and even it's unnecessary and premature demise couldn't shake me from E34 loveliness - I followed it with a 3.8 Touring then a 4.6 Touring.

Because if you can convince your partner that having a second rusty old French car for spares is acceptable then you can do anything. Plus Fuego Turbos are fking cool.

Advert says 'no longer available'. It'll reappear marked up on a forecourt?

I know nothing about these but have to comment -
The engine is quite far over to the right and the rad to the left
The suspension turrets look like they've been moved inboard

And it's worth buying just for this - Whale penis induction kit
