I pick up my new toy on Saturday which fits right in to this thread. Got an 8 hour round trip ahead of me to get it. I never find anything for sale on my doorstep laugh

It's probably not to everyone's taste, but I bloody love that, great find! Even the black on black with chrome accessories! nuts

I would absolutely love to run around in that as an everyday car- sadly the rarity/potential rust/increasing value etc means those days have probably passed.
You know that is going to be the biggest heap of turd you've seen when you get close to it right?

What did the Sud Sprint go for?

Here's a red 4WD 33 for just over £3K currently:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alfa-Romeo-33-Cloverleaf...

Did Alfa over-engineer the bonnet release with a back up cable?
Many wants. Didn't know they did a 4x4 version, they can't have sold many, surely?

I used to have a silver one. The pedal offset was murder on long journeys, but I loved that car. P/Xd it for a TVR S2.

The slightly racist number plate may have to go. biggrin

Sprint went for £8k, fair price IMO. That 33 is just what this thread is about. Never won road tests but I was still a sud underneath supposedly. Lovely flat four must handle great, but the block was cast iron on the sud so probably on this too.

Thanks for the Sprint price.

Regarding the 33, CAR Magazine did a mid '90s front cover with 'Where's the improvement?' Or 'Where's the progress?' that compared the 33, poss the 1.7 16V one, to the Sud, the C4 Audi 100 with the NSU R080 but I couldn't find it by googling.

I googled some more. Seems it was the 33 Permanent 4.

I'm actually in that issue.

I was mentioned in the late, great Phil Llewellin's column. That issue is very close to my heart.
