The question all must wonder. Are these cars, when garage advertised, purchased in advance, or being sold on commission? I’m sure the sellers would have a good idea of their value, but, have some been caught out ?

This ad should get some kind of award for being so crap:

I present to you the £125,000 635 csi.

In its favour its an early manual model 635csi (these are very rare to find).
Its also got some horrible pie-key chrome wheel arches and a sticker from Hartge.

The state of those pictures... could be deemed a 15k car from them, let alone 125

This beauty (notice the alloys off side vs near side) is celebrating it's third anniversary of being up for sale. In that time it's gone up from a frankly ridiculous £70k to a now far more sensible £200k!!!

The impediment to it being sold is perhaps more to do with the vendor than the price...

That is pure class, but I'm more intrigued by the 675LT they have listed with 30,000 miles on the clock under one owner

Anyone know that car's story?

I assume the alloys is someone’s idea of a styling decision?

Looking at the earlier stock, that is possible the last place on Earth I would buy a supercar from. Or indeed ANY car.

Ahh good ol keighley trade centre. Absolutely the last place you would want to by a car from.

Here's a few adverts from this months Modern Classics, i yhink they're overpriced but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!!

First up an XR3i, i knew old Fords had rocketed but didn't realise these had aswel.

I don't think this is anywhere near old or rare enough to warrant this price

Low mileage and a V6 but is this what SLKs of this age are fetching now?

Nine grand for a 2001 MGF! Also, 4000 miles in 16 years is ridiculously low, i wonder what would need replacing now.

A similar red one sold at auction last year for £13.5 but was a bit younger and lower mileage.
A black one went earlier this year with similar miles for about 15k

Add on a bit of haggling money and you can see where they're going.

You can buy one for much less of course but that one could be very clean/original.

Not all RS Turbos go for 60k but there are people who will and have paid that for one

Fair enough, i didn't realise the Ford value explosion had crept up into the mid/late eighties Escorts. Obviously anything RS and/or Cosworth is worth a lot but XR3is had slipped by me!

I think these are pretty much top prices for one ....but very low mileage

Here's the other red one from 18 months back

Can't find the details of the black one now but I can't remember which auction house it was

If it was an S2 RS Turbo it would probably go for double from the auction prices I've seen

The price for that F is £895, surely?

We dad this?

A genuine RS I could understand, but this was build in 2004 from a new shell, with no historic history !!!
