Seriously Overpriced Cars

is that grille really standard, it looks awful?
I think it's had some tat thrown on it then the seller has decided that it's a special edition. Looking at it closer I can see it's actually a pretty piss poor spec for an AMG, no Designo interior, no cooled seats, no massage seats, no Distronic etc. The facelift cars I saw sell for that money were absolutely loaded so I take back what I said, it's in reality an £8k car at that spec. I glanced at the ad and thought it was some tuned Autobahn special from Germany but it's just a low spec S55 with some tat on it. I know Brabus stuff is always mental money. But 325k on one of these?! Seriously? Ad says 400+brand new.
I've seen the jacked up ones or the 6x6's at silly cash, but, this one seems especially obnoxiously priced.
Drop in the ocean to the Sheik's son or "powder logistics manager" that'd buy it, I'm sure, but goodness me.

Completely lacking in any taste or class, makes the Urus look almost dignified. I'd be genuinely embarrassed being seen in something like that or a Urus or that Rolls Royce taxi looking thing. They're so brash and classless, they seem like they only exist for the drug dealer/money launderer who just wants to spend as much as possible whilst they still can. One owner Golf with the venerable 1.9PD engine... and only 10K miles:
For £7K
Surely if you want one of these you want one with decent mileage and a book of receipts, not a timewarp example last serviced five years ago. I'd guess it's been bought from an old/retired driver/widow for a pittance.
That ad is worth it for this alone:For £7K

If there's anyone out there who can't think of a better way to spend £7k than on that Golf then they need to be kept in a padded room.
Someone around 40 who had one as a first or second car. Or someone who wants to put 200k on it in 5 years.
I reckon the Passat and Golf would just fall apart if they were put into the use they were designed for new. So many brittle, old seals now, ancient coolant, cambelt, and brakes.
That Golf doesn't even look well prepared for the ultra low mileage. The scuffs on the interior aren't what a buyer of a mint example wants.

yes i don't get the obsession with low miles, rubber, plastic all degrade over time. You see it on here people buying low milage mundane cars, when clearly a higher milage well maintained would be much better and cheaper. That Golf doesn't even look well prepared for the ultra low mileage. Definitely. My Probe was in storage for 20 years and trying to actually use has turned it into a big project. My Golf has averaged 20k miles/year for 11 years and I'm confident it could continue to do so for some time yet. That Golf doesn't even look well prepared for the ultra low mileage. Hmm... to give that some perspective: £5,990 for that, or £5,695 for this:
Madness.
Saying that, I've just looked at their other listings and they have an original Yaris for £2,190!

Hahahahaha...
Failing that, how about a 2002 Seat Alhambra for almost £4,000?
