I might be wrong but nearly £8k for a 2009 1 series seems a lot of money.

Not even a 130i.

£3k feels like enough.

Does seem a bit steep but looks mint and low mileage which is rare these days, manual too.
That's a lot steep, never mind a bit. Given the low spec with the fabric seats and no xenons you're paying more than 12k for a paint job. Plus it's been sat for an extended period and there's a lot of fairly vital rubbery bits to go wrong. I'm also quite doubtful that you can put genuine M3 alloys on a non-M E46. It's probably worth half what he's asking. Certainly you should be able to get a better one and paint it white for about 10k all in.

I think whoever buys that is going to not really know what they're looking at and just likes it for the fact it seems to be in pretty good condition and isn't especially expensive overall... even if it is relatively expensive.

Front seats are in a minging state, too. Maybe if he’d found a decent leather interior on ebay etc it might be more saleable at the price.

Dealers get carried away when they get something that isnt ruined and has low mileage, 15 year old not very special one series for seven and a half grand, just no.

This was in 'badly modified' thread a few weeks back. I dunno how you can really value a car like this. I imagine the build cost might not be far off the asking depending whether it was DIY or on the clock.

Surely rarer and more valuable as an untouched Ford Cougar?

Maybe.

Whats going on with the enormous rear wing?
Surely anyone who knows cars knows a modern Ferrari never has a big wing.

blame F&F, that era of crx/civic is massively overpriced, even for a normal trim level

It’s insane, there’s nothing special about it,
Every single Honda CR X listed is over priced on auto trader by thousands.

in every world, majority of them have rusted away and got scrapped. This is still around, questionable mods etc but the engine alone is worth thousands. Would I pay that for it? no but 5-6k easy. If you look at it as "old honda" you won't get it but it's got things going for it and clean ones sell for that no problems.

I mean, I can’t see 2 people wanting it and getting in a bidding war.

But there is something fantastically eccentric about it and a lot of time and love has gone into that.

Even £5k feels a lot of money to be driving around in an obviously fake Ferrari someone else has loved building.

That's probably ok... it's near 600 pages with by this stage mostly dead links.
