Great car, no doubt. Owned by a motoring legend, fair enough. Half a million quid, oh do fk off.

I would be doing some digging as to what is meant by "owned".

Was it actually registered in his name (i.e proof of name on logbook), or was he lent the car?
Looks like a bargain, think how much they would be pricing it at, if it didn't have part service history and a short MOT.

It definitely looks like Ayrton's old car, I remember I used to see him on weekends that he wasn't racing, and there he would be, crouched down with his hose in his hand, he always had that hose of his out, he seemed to like giving things a right good splash, just like in the picture. I remember him saying to me 'i don't bother with all that servicing nonsense, what you want to do with your car is get your hose out and give it a right good splash'.

That advice has always stuck with me and to this day I don't service my cars and they somehow always appreciate in value. That's likely to be because they are always so clean.

A bit more digging in to the NSX suggests it was not "owned" by Senna, but simply lent to him when he visited Portugal. It seems there were numerous NSXs dotted around various countries which he would use when he visited them.

A bit naughty to use the term "owned".

More than a tad duplicitous. Paying a 500% premium for a car owned by Honda, which sometimes had Senna sat in it.

I know Shed has upped his budget a couple of times in recent memory, but these are usually available for less than £1k, no?

Agreed, bonkers money. You can get the vastly superior next generation model for that.

MAYBE had Senna in sat it,going to be quite difficult to prove he sat in it,let alone drive it.
As for being a sly to claim he once owned it,sly ? How about a blatant lie.
Wonder how this would work if sold and the next owner only found out when trying to sell it on ?

I know this was posted a few years back but still up for sale if you can get there in time.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116141392221?itmmeta=01...

Checking the mot it looks like it might need a good few grand spend on it in a few months. Then again, what's a few grand when it's worth this much.
I think i'd reduce it to £1778 and hope someone would offer me £1500 before the mot runs out.

Re: Honda NSX, last year there was a TV program Bangers: Mad for Cars, in which Tiny Temper hosted a piece on the Honda NSX, less said about it the better.

Part of the program, gathered together some NSX owners, one who owned a LHD NSX, purportedly once having belonged to Senna and valued at £250K.

Seems, there are a lot of them about.

I know Harry’s Garage episode with Clarkson has boosted the values of advertised L322 Range Rover models in the last few months, with plenty chancing their arm, but is this really a £45,000 example of the L322?

The advert even mentions Chris Harris ownership as evidence of “provenance”.

Is it me or is this too expensive? I get the feeling I would be told “find another one” etc..

The silicone spray all over the place must double the value.

8 or 9 grand car for me. But then 12mpg isn't for me.

I'm generally a Citroën fan but that is one ugly car.

That's lovely but 45k seems a little bit spendy. Maybe if it had 6k miles but 66k... And I'm not sure whether the Chris Harris thing is a reason for a premium.

Agreed. Launched in the fairly awful mid to late 2000s era when Citroen forgot all about its quirky and eccentric USP and just produced bland, not particularly reliable euro boxes. Thankfully in more recent times they have got back to producing some more interesting and fairly good looking (IMO) stuff.

My favourite part of that ad is the crucial info that the tyres may need replacing at some point in the future, info gleaned from his brother (an ex tyre fitter no less!) having looked at them.

That Saab is just nuts.
I'd love to hear their reasoning behind the price.
