they older cars took longer to go stratospheric i think.

i always think of the Testarossa, used to hover around 50k over looked for being a bit st, but i loved them and hoped i could get one day. Suddenly over night doubled in value. When interest rates go up maybe they will drop.

An S4 auto is a completely different kettle of fish to a GTS manual. The Hexagon car is overpriced (no surprise there!), but not by as much as you think. GTS manuals, if you can find them as they only made 40 odd UK cars, have been in the £60-70k mark for a while now for a leggy example. That one has really nice miles so would be a good chunk more to the right buyer. I'm sure Hexagon will get strong money for it, they seem happy to sit on cars until the right buyer comes along!

Shamals seemed to double in asking price overnight about the same time too, and 996 GT2s tripled. Not sure if many are selling though

Vauxhall Cavalier -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-Vauxhall-Cavalier-2...

And another -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VERY-RARE-EARLY-VAUXHALL...

Particularly the second one for me just shouts I'm driving an old heap rather than a classic.

Not desirable cars when new, even less so now.

What an odd selection of cars they stock, £10k looks reasonable compared to some of the madness posted in this topic. But it's still a ropey old Vauxhall, for £10k. They've got a 15 y/o, LHD E class AMG up for £25k too. Baffling!

That E Class is very rare, £25k may seem a bargain in a few years. Not that I'd buy anything from these guys...

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Chavalier as my first full time job was at a Vauxhall dealer in the mid 90's. The Turbos were bloody quick back in the day and could give a Sierra Cosworth a run for their money. If it was a Sapphire Cosworth it would easily be twice the price. Funny old thing brand image

When the chap with the 1994 Cavalier put in his advert "...leather int" did he mean interior or did he mistype innit?

They've gone mad over the last decade. I recall them being relatively affordable - especially the coupe, but now they're very pricey.

So, I'm not sure that is overpriced.

Hexagon seem to just sit on cars until the market catches up their pricing, isn't he the guy who is v wealthy and doesn't actually need to sell anything? They often outprice the market by a year or two but eventually they all seem to find homes in time. It's not a bad way of working if you have funds laying around !
