It was £16k the other day. Looks a real bargain at the new price.

a remap takes it from 231 ro 300 bhp.

i guess he is not too bright posting examples of cars that can be tuned for 4000 more, when you would need minimum 10k for turboing it.

£35,000 for a Toyota IQ with 19k miles and leather seats anyone?
It's funny, for £35k you could have your pick of the current crop of Astons - early V8 vantage, DB9, hell even a DB7 Volante AND a used Toyota iQ.....
And significantly higher running costs.
Yeah because if you've got £35k to spend on a Toyota supermini you're going to worry about running costs..

"The car, which was worth £2000 when new, fetched less than it's estimate of £60000 by selling for £80,000"

Absolute jokers
That really is terrible journalism.

You're complaining (I think) about a missing zero (£20K vs 2K)

But did you accidentally rewrite the rest of the sentence to comprehensively change its meaning, or have they changed the article since then?

No I genuinely thought that is what it said.
Rather than copy and paste I just wrote it out as I intepreted it.

My apologies.

Land Rover Defenders, surely?

Don't get me wrong, I adore them. And one day wish to own one as a permanent second. But for what they're are, their overpriced. Especially when you look at discos and their cost!

But you cant roll a disco and straighten the roof/side panels/doors back using the back bucket of a jcb and some wood and only need a new windscreen like in a defender. From personal experience having worked at a offroad center which mainly used 300tdi disco's. They were more comfy than a defender but that is about it.

£4,450 seems like a lot for a V reg Civic. Then again i don't know much about the cars, could be a unicorn.

I was at the local BMW dealer today and saw this in their showroom....

That's dinner for two short of £145k at today's exchange rate and i can think of many better ways to spend that cash than on a diesel SUV (albeit a very fast one)
