£30 grand for an E30?
Not just any old E30, though. And I guess you've seen where E30 M3 prices are these days (and they're LHD too...)?

Maybe a bit optimistic, but not in the wrong ballpark. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/list/10/320is/

That would suit me fine.
I'd stick a Z3 rack on. ( keeping the original ) and just use it on sunny, summer days

This piece of st, and the owner is an absolute massive . Messaged him saying I'd offer £750 for it, not that I wanted it, just to see his response. Told me to go fk myself with £750, ended with him threatening to kill me after some exchange of words. Dealer is Hassan Ali as I recall, as I said, massive , and apparently absolutely ste at car sales. Look at the state of it, been for sale nearly a year, it was at £1500 when I messaged him, he oddly lowered it to £1k after our exchange

You can tell when an advert has been raised by the link. It's been up for sale for less than 3 months.

Its done about 9 miles since last MOT, so its probably been up for sale for a year

Cazana only show a history of sale from October. It was also £999 back in October.

Because much better condition Focus Flight's go for £750, that's the max that thing is worth, maybe if he'd said he'd take that, I'd've impulse bought it and sold it on. Not sure what I'd gain from lying about it though?..

It’s worth no more than £750 but you would have bought it for £750 to sell on?

How does that work then?

Buy it for £750, put a small amount of work into fixing the cosmetics, sell it for £1000 which is what it would sell for if it was in good nick.

Right, worth a maximum of £750 now but you could make it worth £1k.

In that condition, it is worth £750, surely I'm not the only one who can understand this incredibly simple scenario, right? I'll assume I am so let me lay out out for you:

This is worth at the very most £600, with mileage and condition
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

This is completely rust free, good mileage and well kept, it's worth at least £1k all day long
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Does the cheaper model mean that every Focus Flight has to sell for £600? Nope. The leggy red example with a small amount of work could be worth £1K with the mileage it's at, in it's current state, it's worth at most £750. Easier to grasp?

Stop being a patronising prick please. Your attitude on these forums at times won’t win you many fans.

Who would think life is long enough to waste so much of it making less than £250 on a car?

I was going to say. And that is only if your labour is worth zero. Spend a few hours on it and you may be lucky to make a hundred quid. Pointless for the agro. AND you may have to wait god knows how long to sell it again.

You really are a new type of "special". And I don't mean in a good way.

Do you not think it's time to grow up and not waste people's time being a complete tt?
