Yes, it's low mileage. Yes, it's apparently in sparkling nick.

Yes, it's a 1997 Mk3 Golf GTI 8v. For FIVE GRAND.

i suppose these dealers must be using the 'how many left' figures and pricing everything up.
Blimey, a nice old Toyota. Ages since I've seen one of these

Likewise.

Lad at uni had one (23 years ago!) at it was knackard and classic looking back then.

..Not the shape Celica I'd go 'misty eyed' over and shell out £15K for though.. by a long shot!

Discovery imported from Thailand, assuming it was only used for poncing about it should be incredibly clean underneath.

However it is fitted with the 2.0 petrol engine so it's dangerously slow and ruinous on fuel.
Not sure why they didn't fit the turbo engine out of the Rover Tomcat, they would have been 20 years ahead of the game.

The 2.0 MPi version was introduced because at the time there was a bit step up in company car tax for cars over 2000cc. My colleague had one, he was just desperate to live the Discovery dream, I drove it one, it was quite a bit slower than my Golf VR6! I can't imagine many 2.0 MPI's survived.

I had the v8 one that had about 50bhp more, pressing the go pedal made a lot of noise, drank fuel and didn't go fast so a 2.0l can't be that different.

According to Parkers, the Disco 2.0 MPi cracked 60mph from rest in a blistering 14.8 seconds. I'm assuming that was a full-bore start, under test conditions, valid on the day it rolled off the production line. I'm guessing a 1997 model might not be able to achieve such athletic performance in 2018. laugh

A 1998 Range Rover P38, a daily commute away from clocking 100k miles for £13k rofl It's not even an Autobiography, a 50th Anniversary or anything special, just a regular HSE that someone has put clear indicator lenses on.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-Land-Rover-Range-R...

For comparison there's another 1998 HSE that's done 101k miles, it's £3k. Maybe they've genuinely added the 1 by accident confused

In fairness my Discovery 200Tdi would have been clocked a lot slower than 14.8 to 60mph when new. It is incredibly slow, but I can't imagine the MPI suits the Discovery particularly well in normal driving.

Considering there are statements such as 'Luckily this model has Fully Functioning Air Suspension which is rare for this age' I would say typo?

All low mileage Ferraris now that they have admitted allowing dealers to clock them, or adjust the mileage I suppose.

It would have been about 2005 and a friend of mine sold his Macau Blue EVO II (with far less miles) to someone in the Isle of Man for £4K.

I think it was about 2008 when I sold mine (with all the extras in the photos) for £13K !

£80,000 for a car with that mileage?.....Superb value and a great investment! laughlaughlaugh
