Seriously Overpriced Cars

Okay... So Vauxhalls are starting to follow the 'Blue Badge' Ford Rose-Tinted price explosion...
...And Having grown up as part of the Max Power generation I can get a bit misty eyed over performance Vauxhalls too.
But seriously, £4K for a MK1 GTE with a dashboard from a clown car?.. Oh and bring a trailer to take your box of bits home with you.

Although in it's defense - I do remember Car-SOS saying their Astra MK1 restoration was one of the rarest cars they had ever done - so these must be very few and far between now.
MK1 GTE, worth £4k easily. This MK1 GTE 90's special, not worth £4k. All it's missing is a set of TSW Venoms and an Alpine stereo. Would make a good parts car though. ...And Having grown up as part of the Max Power generation I can get a bit misty eyed over performance Vauxhalls too.

What am I missing about this £85k boxster?

Fake price just to drum up business?
It's a 3.8 Spyder, limited run of a few hundred, open top version of a GT4. Great car that will appreciate in value.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282649690538

Very rare and I love them. It’d have to be a VERY nice one for me for £4K though ...And Having grown up as part of the Max Power generation I can get a bit misty eyed over performance Vauxhalls too.

Not sure if this is really overpriced due to its low mileage and rarity value.

I have the saloon version so must declare an interest. But £50K though?

If there are 10 of these in facelift guise in the UK I would be amazed.....the MK1 version is rare enough.aaron_2000 said:

When you put it like that....I'm now trying to think of who would buy it. The only comparable car I can think of is the Insignia VXR and I think that appeals more to the group that want average-brand repmobiles with six cylinder motors and decent performance. Especially since they're more powerful and you can have them with a manual gearbox.
So I'm not sure who would be the buyer of this. I'd like to say someone who wants something quick, smart and less flashy than an Audi or BMW or Mercedes, the sort of person who would've have an Omega MV6 or a Volvo S60 T5 or a Saab 95 Aero, but I don't think there are that many people who want a Passat that costs £500 a year to tax and does 22mpg and looks the same as a 2.0 diesel one.
