37k for the generation of Supra that none of the Fanboys even know exists.
Nice car & in great condition ..... but really !
Lots of better/cheaper options of that era eg: 911

Funnily enuf, I do remember these, I think they were the first time the 'Supra' name/suffix appeared but which later got introduced as a model in its own right

I think it's the mileage that gets me with a lot of these kinds of sales. If it had 15k on the clock and was showroom condition you'd be paying for a time capsule car. Ok £37k is a lot but you know it would be the best example of this model in existence.

It's the high prices with high miles that surprises me. The average per year may be low but it's still got pretty much 150k's worth of use on the car.

Quite often not as it often suggests a delusional seller who thinks it's genuinely worth that. Despite the market saying otherwise.
How does the market factor in low mileage and dry storage (never been out in winter) will condition add to the value or is it just book says £xxxk mate?
Mileage and present condition are accounted for easily enough. Dry storage doesn't mean never been out in winter...

It's good to have if evidenced, but it doesn't generally make something worth tens of thousands more.

Is it the best? Strikes me hes had a couple of resprays and a sympathetic restoration? Sounds like he left a whole bunch alone but for budget or originality?...

Sorry I should have explained better, I have a car that has been dry stored and never been out in winter and over the last 14 years has covered 19k miles, how would you go about valuing a car like this?

Just had a few days driving a Hyndai i800. Less frills than the VW transporter but not enough of a difference in handling to warrant the £££ in price.

VW largely over valued due to brand.

Hold their money though, so worth it from that perspective.

That’s lovely, I’d love to see Nissan do something like this now, I believe these had 276 bhp with AWD back in the early 90’s, that must have been insane!

There'll be a few on the market at the next building slowdown...

In the last recession they were shifting them from stockpiles on the docks at 15k all in for the five seater T5.

Still crazy, standard Golf GTI’s come with 230 standard, a lot heavier than that and they’re very quick

Now I'm old enough to remember when these were new - £400 would buy the original assembly kit and radio equipment.

Anyone fancy a guess how much for an unopened box?

Just reading the RAC blog about them. They sold 75 UK cars as they were too expensive. The rest are cheaper used imports.

The GTR was fast back then, but even similar powered much heavier modern cars like an Audi S1 are much faster.

Any other long term PHer's remember a guy called Clive that had a black one? Cannot remember his PH name but itw as a £5k car back then. He came along to at least one Pistonfest and I remember him donutting it around the fields (2003?).

On autotrader a new Jimny up for pretty much £30k...for the less desirable auto version! Makes the one on Pistonheads seem cheap.
