Had a few of the last ones at work a few years ago having locks and immobilisers changed.

Apparently they were part payment of a debt.

Any connection to the one currently awaiting love at Bad Obsession Motorsport?

As S2000s are heavily afflicted by the tinworm underneath, if (IF) this one is in fine fettle it's not too far off the going rate (surprisingly high that may be). It might be a rusty dog, however.
Source: spending two years wedging my face under many S2000s to find a decent one for my OH that wasn't in this price bracket.
A 2002 S2000 is not worth 20k.

if the going rate is 20k then this would have been sold.

How about this W124 E34 AMG offering from Motorhub.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283514392650

A cool £38K .

Left hand drive and dodgy looking rubber too.

Wheels and tyres are worth £5k on their own.

That's probably why this one is up for £15k...

At the end of the day it's worth what someone will pay for it. We weren't prepared to pay that much, but S2000s of non-concourse quality were being offered in the high-teens. Whether they sold them, who knows.

This had to be a typo, surely? One too many '7's?

They stuttered with the 7?!

...I'd also like to see how they could sell it without including the replaced head gasket.

That is not as overpriced as you think. They're incredibly rare - think double digits - and you'll unlikely find another one.

A regular ordinary low miles E320 cab was up for (and sold for) £30k so for a pre-merger AMG cab it's good value.

The wheels are hideous, you'd have to go through the history with a very fine toothcomb and the dealer is as about as dodgy as they come, but as a car it's about right price-wise.

I’d love some background information on this dealer, their stock is so random! I feel like whoever buys the stock picks the most difficult cars to sell. They’ve got a liberty walk Aventador that’s been on sale for nearly 2 years at 200 something grand.

Who’s in charge there??

“Trading Standards has fined premium and supercar trader Motorhub a total of £53,567. The action was in response to poor sales conduct. Customers were ‘recklessly misled’, said government watchdog National Trading Standards.

Motorhub stocks everything from six-figure exotics to everyday hatchbacks. It pleaded guilty to six breaches of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading regulation – on account of inflated prices and undisclosed information.”

Pretty well known locally, it's fairly obvious how it's funded and why it exists!

Yes it is - look on companies house and it’s financed by Nat West Bank on a huge second charge over draft...

A tax payer funded bank is backing them 🤔

At the risk of derailing this thread, I bought a 64 plate ex lease Megane estate from that dealer. 114k miles, fmdsh, £4k. In and out in 20 minutes. Really easy to deal with, no hassle, car is exactly what it is, a crap car, but great taxi. Paid for itself already.
