Alternatively you could have the same car, but not a previous write off and with a dealer warranty for £10,000 less.

Given the not especially low mileage and rotten sills and arches I'd say this is a good 30-40% overpriced, but it's the War and Peace description that really gets me... and he's another one who ''won't just sell to anyone, even if you turn up with cash''

Must admit the guy comes over as a keen enthusiast, and the ad seems pretty honest to me.https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

I've bought a couple. Cheap taxis.
What would you like to know?
Do they drive well? What would you like to know?
Do they incur more problems?
I assume you're going to say positive things as you do buy them haha
But, there's always a but, you need to buy with your eyes open. I buy them for taxis. They are never going to be resold, except for scrap. They do a job.
Would I buy one for myself? Probably, but only if it was very cheap and i knew what had been done.
One of the cars I bought was a Saab 93 estate which had been badly keyed. So the cost of respraying it was uneconomic for example.

Fair point about him being a keen enthusiast, I might have been a bit harsh re. the description.Still overpriced though given the probably £2k that needs spending to get the sills and arches fitted and resprayed.
