Why has it got a torpedo in the boot? How much value is the AMG badge adding, and does it offset the drop in value due to the broken three pointed star badge?

Looking at it the vents and display are offset to the centre console
fk I never noticed till now. Now I can’t stop looking at it fk fk fk
Sorry - that’s exactly it.. two different designers perhaps?

Blooooooooooody hell. How is that even possible?!
Mercedes have been doing that since at least the early 1990s. Look at the W140/C140 S-Class/CL they have very offset vents to the rest of the dash. And the SL R129. Not saying that's a good thing, but it's not new. Maybe not translated well to the newer cars.

Probably people's OCD is more pronounced now in today's culture?!
Not just on the inside either.
Go on then ? What’s wrong with it ?
I think the shorter one is to make parking into the kerb easier and deeper too, to save the need for tilting.

I am not a Merc fan, but if I had one and hadn't noticed that, then someone pointed it out to me, I would have to sell it, I can't even stand my dash vent's not being level rofl

Alternatively you could have the same car, but not a previous write off and with a dealer warranty for £10,000 less.

Given the not especially low mileage and rotten sills and arches I'd say this is a good 30-40% overpriced, but it's the War and Peace description that really gets me... and he's another one who ''won't just sell to anyone, even if you turn up with cash''

But only a quarter of that on their own website, still overpriced.

Must admit the guy comes over as a keen enthusiast, and the ad seems pretty honest to me.

I've bought a couple. Cheap taxis.

What would you like to know?
Do they drive well?

Do they incur more problems?

I assume you're going to say positive things as you do buy them haha
No difference to a non write off.

But, there's always a but, you need to buy with your eyes open. I buy them for taxis. They are never going to be resold, except for scrap. They do a job.

Would I buy one for myself? Probably, but only if it was very cheap and i knew what had been done.

One of the cars I bought was a Saab 93 estate which had been badly keyed. So the cost of respraying it was uneconomic for example.

Fair point about him being a keen enthusiast, I might have been a bit harsh re. the description.

Still overpriced though given the probably £2k that needs spending to get the sills and arches fitted and resprayed.

£25k to someone who actually knows what they are worth is not overpriced.
