a dealer is clearly going to buy that, take some better photos, and put it up for sale for twice the pricee.

If it's as clean and tidy as they make out it will be coming to you soon from kgf or similar for £6999

Low mileage and high spec but still £35k for a 5 year old CLA is a bit stiff:

I don't know why dealers think they'll get any nibbles when the Autotrader listing shows how much more it is than the market average. When it's nearly £8k higher than the average surely anyone browsing will see that and think 'fk that'.

On a £35k car, being £1-2k over the average might be ok if it had a rare spec or an unusual option that I was specifically seeking. £8k more is just taking the piss.
They will actually sell it. The strategy is wait until maybe a couple walk in (these are the most likely ones) , absolutely love the car and without any car knowledge or research end up buying it. Fast forward when someone says "how much"?? then they realise theyve taken a bath..

My mrs (before she was) bought a Corsa almost in this way.
Don't think she got completely taken to the cleaners but she went to her local Vauxhall dealer and said I need a car with front and rear parking sensors.
And think she paid a little too much.

Upside is, it has a fairly high spec (for what it is!) - heated seats, heated steering wheel, front and rear heated screens, reverse camera etc etc

My brother in law although not short of a penny or two won't ever negotiate on cars, he'll pay full whack for everything. His cars are really diverse. Mitsubishi FTO, Lotus Elise S1, Freelander and Mokka. He's paid over the odds for every car he's ever had. No matter the price on the screen, hell just pay it. A costly one was the Elise from Stratton motor Co. Norfolk..

See if you can spot the first fib they have told with regards the panels all being in great condition...

"Doors, bonnet, boot lid, rear panel, sills and roof in very good condition." - really??

Expensive but..how much would it cost to fit out like that.
Plus it's virtually like new. The Cummins engine will do 700-800k miles between rebuilds ie you'll never wear it out pulling such little weight along.
Another one that is ott in price but someone will pay it..

Be a lot cooler with a permanent sleeping area, instead of two lounges and a breakfast bar.

The whole thing screams style rather than function. And if you're buying a humongous 4x4 truck based camper, function does kinda matter. For example, a winch would probably be more useful than the scatter cushions.

10-15k for the truck. So is it really a 100k conversation, no way. At 50k it would reasonable priced. This is the world where someone buys a VW transporter adds some stuff and sells it as a 100k camper, idiot tax aplenty.

Yes it looks cool outside but would change interior.

I remember seeing that for sale on there a fair while ago. I suppose it is very low mileage, but still a bit rich.

How about this?

Less than 75% are from the main dealer. I wouldn't even call that nearly full...

£8995 for a Scorpio Ultima with near 100k on the clock. I've seen this car advertised elsewhere and was rusting quite badly around the door frames. To be fair all of this dealers stock is overpriced shíte.

Just had a quick look through their other items and you’re right, their whole stock is perfect for this thread.

I too am looking at Motorhomes at the moment.

In the world of campers and motorhomes in general £160k isn't that excessive. There is a 2015 Concorde Liner currently up for £390k.

For a properly converted (assuming it has been) expedition vehicle it is reasonable, have a look at unicat.

I have looked at this type of thing in the past when I was thinking about following the Silk Route into China (gave up when I realised how difficult it would be). I was looking at Unimog based campers, they were easily this sort of price and a bit more a few years ago.

When a 4wd Hymer coachbuilt starts at £100k with fairly limited capability compared to something like this not sure it is over the top.
