No way can that be a serious ad ?
There's all sorts of absolute chancers on Car and Classic with massively delusional views on the value of the slowly decaying tat they've littered their drive with.

C&C used to be a worthy place to buy and sell for proper enthusiasts, sadly the past few years have seen it decline to comical levels now.

This joker seems to think a LHD Z3 Coupé is worth £75k.

Not the iconic Z3M Coupé which on a good day may make £25-30k, but a much lesser 2.8 litre model which is comparatively easy to buy on the continent.

I’d love to have a glass of whatever the seller has drunk please.

How about a Stag for £30k?

Even with it’s upgrades I reckon that’s a good third overpriced.

I’m never sure whether it’s considered a good or bad thing these days that those cars have a similar rear-end suspension setup to an E30 M3 - some people see it as a downside and others as a plus for the handling

That is a fair bit considering a drop-top in rhd is a fraction of that asking though

£14k now. Looks like they had the mileage as the price?

That has been around for a while. A Brabus, with speed spats IIRC.
Don't know if it's the same one but there was one around a while with one of the wheel spats missing because it was going to be astronomical to replace....!
Call Brabus and order one, or if they cant, take a scan off the other one and have it remade in correct weave carbon.

Plenty of companies with skills to do the job for maybe £10k max??

Mk1 MX-5. £44,000
Yes, it looks lovely as far as a mX5’s go and they will deliver anywhere in the UK but that surely has to be a typo.....

2 door mazda 626 with an almighty 109bhp and cloth seats for five grand.

To be fair it looks clean and is certainly rare, but surely some things are rare because noone wants them:

US-spec Chevy Cavalier coupe which looks OK from the left hand side. Then you see the damage on the right. Then you read that it's MISSING ITS ENGINE. Then you run away.

I think the starting price may have an extra zero (or two) in by mistake.

Where were they all when they were virtually worthless tho?

Like I kind of understand the sort of buyer you describe, but you didn't have to be anything like "financially stable" to own one for many, many years... When £3k got you a Dimma and a grand got you most 1.9 GTIs on the market, people that actually wanted them kinda just bought them. And drove them. And modified them. And crashed them. And loved them.

I suppose that's the point and there aren't nearly as many around anymore, but I can't help but think anyone willing to put £25,000 into a 205 GTI is way more 'speculator' than 'life long enthusiast'.
All sorts of reasons. Some ended up with company cars, or bought other cars for reasons of necessity or bought successors to that car and years later realised that the one they want is the one that originally grabbed their attention.

I suspect for many though, it's nostalgia. The nostalgia wasn't strong when they weren't that old and there were plenty of cheap ones around.

It's a bit cheaper than it would have been due to surface corrosion on the running gear, obviously.
