They were about £45K new (and this one only has 283 miles on the clock), and there were only 99 of them worldwide.

So perhaps not an insane price.
True, but seeing that ones with under 2000 miles are advertised for £26k it does seem pricey

700bhp from an engine that isn't even running/finished, impressive. You can already see how great it's looking, will be just like the real thing rofl

The extra bonnet vent glued onto the actual bonnet vent... pure magic

Very nice, maybe the best around, but £40k for a Mk1 Golf GTI? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1241533.

Probably one day that will be the going rate, but not yet..
They’re at about 27k for the best at the moment
Does this type of ad rely on there being someone out there somewhere, with lots of money, no interest in shopping around, and an immediate hankering to hand over cash to have a car in their collection by 5pm?

Like shopping on ebay when drunk, but you've got a million in your current account. laugh

So it will be instantly obvious its a fake / replica or whatever since its not got the tradational McLaren F1 central driving position.

Also, why show the McLaren F1 photos when its not even finished and wont even look anything like it when its done.
Good spot - not to mention lack of a V12 engine (sure that a turbo four banger sounds indistinguishable from a normally aspirated V12). But at least it has “Perrreli” tyres - so confidence inspiring...
And a 1200BHP plenum

The description is to be enjoyed. Highlights:

"I have other business's over seas"

"I am a successful business man and I am not in desperate need for cash"

"selling due to being too Busy to finish of"

"In no rush to sell and not desperate for money either"

"give someone a chance of a lifetime to finish off and own probably the most expensive replica in the world. " I suppose if you spend the most on something it does become the most expensive!

270 miles though! I get that they ARE rare. And it's a car I lusted over back in the late 90s early 00s. But even with £100M in the bank I don't think I'd want to spend that much.

This one is much more realistic

With 30K miles is expected to start at £70K so I'd expect mid £90K or so,

Classic Jap metal is getting desirable these days.

Reminded me of this original GTR Hakosuka

You are paying that much for the Impreza 22B because of the super low mileage, but if i bought it, i would want to drive it. So, might aswell just but a good condition lower priced one instead.

$15k for a 7 litre V8 4-door super saloon with a LSD and 6 speed box seems pretty appealing though

How much do those go for normally?

I guess it's really just for those that want to look at it and wheel it out to car shows. I'd want to rag the life out of it.

Sadly yes. For me, that's a waste really. I want to drive it & enjoy what it's made to do.

Buy two!
I know a man who has an F40 (very, very long term ownership) that has 2k miles on it.
A crying shame really.

Yep.

But we need weirdos like that.

I once bought a 15 year old Ferrari 328 which had covered 1,500 miles in the hands of two owners.

I spent the next 2 joyous years putting the better part of 10,000 miles on it.
