Yes a Xsara VTS is rare, but sorry. How much?

If it was 2003 and that was an ex demo I still wouldn't pay £9k for it.
Hard to get one now, but they used to be bargains. Not as cheap as £9k as an ex demo.

Lots of "find another", "hard to get", "rare" being used to justify high prices on decidedly average cars. Being in good nick and rare does not make a car desirable. Some cars are rare because they were not that desirable when they were new, either!

That Prelude looks good. Always thought they were bigger cars, but that looks positively compact in this day and age.

Mind you, I think that's why I am going to have to accept that I am way out of touch. The KGF stock list (1.3 Mk1 Astras for big money) tells me that I have absolutely no idea what makes a desirable 'classic' anymore. Perhaps I've just got old enough to remember that those cars were utterly awful when they were new and are still utterly awful now.... :cries:

My Dad had one of these (in red) and I always regretted us not keeping it.

Brabus 700 G63

https://www.sandown-group.co.uk/used-cars/mercedes...

A quarter of a million quid.

I think the 'standard' G63 at around £150K with a few options is mega money for a druggie / footballer style 4x4 so quite who would pay £250K for this is beyond me.

Your not going to off road in something this expensive and as it has the aerodynamics of a large building any additional power is a waste of time as well.

Mad that they sell things like this.

That’s expensive rather than over priced.

I remember being invited to a mb event when I lived in Germany and I couldn’t believe a G65 was over €250k.

From the same seller as the AMG, this is marked as 'sold'. £300,000? Really? For a Subaru?

Ah... you're missing the white background tax. That's added another £260k to its actual worth..

This made me laugh, imagine landing home to the wife putting that on the drive and telling her you paid £4,500 for it. Shortcut to divorce right there.

£300k is too much, but a 30k miler sold for £130k in July. They only made 399 of the 22B and its a hugely desirable car for a lot of people. The one above has 270 miles which is essentially delivery miles, so it's likely just moved from one collection to another to likely never move. £200k is probably fair given the value of the model.

About to say the exact same thing. That's a £10k SL and even then it's toppy as you can get a decent newer model for the same money. I don't buy into low miles, particularly here, as it's an early 2000s Mercedes and that means it hasn't had its issues yet!

Even adding the Cliff connection doesn't warrant such an asking price. Perhaps if you're 75 year old woman and you don't like your children very much, let's get rid of their inheritance with this.

Yep, at that money, I'd be expecting minty fresh underside and chassis legs you could eat dinner off and zero rust anywhere.

Not sure where the premium comes from, the low mileage or the fact it was owned by Cliff Richard, either way, it’s a no from me.

I like SL’s but why do all of them have that horrible grey interior, makes the car look so much older!

Nah, perfectly safe to buy - just go in with your eyes wide open and go through the thing with a fine tooth comb.

When i was looking into mk 3s, the general consensus was useless you removed all the plastic trims it was near impossible to identify a rusty one s they looked solid on the outside.

''On the rear wheel arches take a very very good look at the front. Here's what mine looked like when I went digging. It actually looked solid when I bought it and it was only when cleaning it for undersealing that this came to light. It was mostly hidden by the wheel arch liner:''
