Insane, isn't it? Desirable 5-speed box and undesirable 2600 engine. biggrin

i'd love to know how many of the cars that have appeared on here have actually sold.
Not many I'll bet, certainly for the advertised price. My cash will be staying in my pocket until the market returns to a degree of normality.

Another dipst, Saab 9000 V6 Griffin. £5500, salvage marker on it and it's done 168k. Looks quite rough despite him stating otherwise in his ad.

Check out the plate.

cant argue pricing is rather optimistic but despite the crap photos the mileage it has clearly been well looked after.
Given the beard and anorak approach of the advert you'll probably find more history of the car on some saab forums

Seems like a hell of a premium for an early UK car, and the 2LT isn't even the top trim. Can't say I'm a big fan of the red on red, either.

I'd never buy a car off someone who advertises their car with pictures taken at night!

Bargain! Only roughly double the price of a new one.

I know these VW vans are the in things at the moment (not sure why but each to their own), this one seems a bit overpriced at £10k, a 53 plate with 240k miles with some stty photos attached, interior does look a little done. I thought they'd be about £3-4k for this sort of age and mileage so after having a little look out of curiosity gave me a shock!

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/van-details/202103069...

The images were on their side down on the ad.

On the other end of the spectrum, a brand new one with Bentley wheels (not even a camper) at almost £60k! I can't imagine spending that much on a van, that probably wont even be used as a van, just as a weird status symbol.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/van-details/202007251... (when I click the ad now it says £70k, but it was about £58k when I linked it, bit odd)

Not sure if overpriced as I’m not up to date on X5M prices but the title on this made me laugh

Surely this X5 being bukakked by the top gear team at Dunsfold should be kept a secret hehe

I check daily as I do with everything else that I might want to drunkenly bid on at 3am. I'd love a nice 330i saloon with a manual box but not if that's what they start being priced at

These have been around these prices for as long as I can recall.

Any body fancy this (from gumtree) -
2007 BMW M sport 325i convertible hardtop M sport (118000 miles)

-£5500
-'minor damage'
-No MOT ('due to COVID and child care')
-number plate check suggests a mileage reduction of 4k or so around 2015
-'Unfortunately this car is no longer practical for my growing family as we now need a 7 seater'
-and two lines later - 'change of job forces sale'
-Autotrader valuation - 3910 - but one assumes that would be for a half tidy example.

Anyway, a no thanks from me.

Yet there isn't a single car on AT for £3910 regardless if tidy, a mess or a write off.

I don't think the car has been clocked. I think the MOT tester should have recorded 93k and has wrongly recorded 83k. That's consistent with the mileage the car was doing and the big jump between 83k and 99k the following year.

All things being equal - have you SEEN that interior?? Could be the most immaculate and pristinely kept BMW on earth and I still wouldn't touch it for that effort.
