Seriously Overpriced Cars

I'm fairly confident there is not a single person out there who would buy that car. ambuletz said:
How about £16,000 for this mk2 golf that already has 173k mileage

Yes it looks clean. I would expect that price on something that's sub 30k miles (which i still think is silly). But it's even more silly on something with 173,000 miles imo.
Oh good Jes*s that is fab.... not sure it’s £16k fab but...ebay link

Oak Green will always demand a premium.

I have a massive inherited soft spot for Mk1/2 golfs, and actually did a lot of my learning to drive in one. It was 50/50 when I was looking for hobby cars between an early GTi and the E46s I ended up with.
I don't think the Golf is too mental at £15k to be fair.
This however....

So I think the deal here is to pay 6.5 grand for a car that is total scrap and is the wrong place to start for the rally car to which he is trying to sell you the dream, and includes none of the required parts to get you there. Still, I'm impressed with his patter
"No keys but I have a key and ignition barrel from another car"

How is that a "rally project"? It's a wrecked and mouldy B2 on some space saver steelies. I'd struggle to see the sense in paying that for an actual quattro in that condition. This however....

I awarded 7 points out of 10 for the advert - I had to knock off three points for over use of the word "Dummy"https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274796238243
The car looks fine but £50k for a 2006 V8 Vantage with 40k on the clock?! I know it's a rarer manual but still!

Think I'll take the one 3 cars further down that is only £40k and has 15k on the clock thanks.

That's £20k more than it's worth, less miles, £20k lesshttp://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2021010978...

Lovingly Owned by a Nottingham driving instructor for the last 5 years......Only driven on sunny afternoons .
Steering wheel shows lots of wear due to be push-pulled from 2-10 position constantly and I must be destroying my residuals by driving in the mornings. raceboy said:

Much loved by whom? Noddy whilst taking class A's?
A customer once had a two seat resto booked with me for one of these. The handling is so dreadful he put it in a ditch days later and that was bye-bye job!
