............So the story is very nice for this car...................... it belonged to my ex-boss who used the car to travel back and forth to Germany and the UK in the good old days of the EU. Brexit and COVID has changed a lot and I bought the car of my boss as he is now moved back to Germany permanently. I have known this car for at least 6 years. I have SOME EUROs LEFT BEHIND AS A SOUVENIR...these were used at the crossings to and from France & the UK.......
Surely potential for a film adaptation.http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2019061690...
£111k for a 2012 V8 Continental with 30k on the clock?

I get that some people would want to stick a cheap body kit on an old, mechanically untouched 911, but to claim it is a "959 Recreation" and charge more than a concourse 3.0 SC is properly mental

The boys and girls over on the Poverty Pork thread will get a kick out of that! Poverty for a 959 https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1321319

Headlight intake adds at least 0.2bhp though. It looks like a well built car, but all that money spent to fool other people whilst you get to enjoy a 1.4 mk5 Escort.

Is it just me or do the wheels look too small? 123DWA said:

I imagine they're the Mondeo wheels which look very similar but are a fair bit narrower hence them not filling the arches out properlybeing it's a Sierra floor .
This happens when you fit genuine Cosworth panels to a front wheel drive Escort and is an easy way to spot a fake ....
LOL..1.4 engine with 73 horses , about 1/3 power of a Cos .

They look like the correct wheels to me but they are in the wrong position as a Cosworth has different wheelbase to a normal MK5

£25,000 for an ek9 civic type R
Not bothered by how mint/original it might be, its the kind of crazy price I'd expect from a dealer taking photos with a DSLR.

I do like this, in fact I like it a lot. But £25,000 for a 26 year old Volvo with 143,000? Seems about £20k overpriced to me. It's for sale at a main dealer too which seems odd, but it is in Bradford, anything goes in Bradford.

There's a red one for sale with 79k miles, just under £11k, still expensive, but more than half the price of this one.

I may be wrong but I think that one's on here somewhere. The plate looks a bit familiar.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106173...

I know it's an old car, but it's hardly well looked after. It's had an oil leak for 11 years on the MOT history. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106173...

At school someone once told me a story that someone had a 1.4 Escort and put a bodykit like that on it, then swapped in a Cosworth motor so they basically had a cut price (albeit FWD) cossie. Then they got caught doing 120 in a 30, so swapped the 1.4 back in, and when it went to court they got away with it because there was no way a 1.4 Escort could do those speeds.
This guy told lots of stories though, kind of like Jay from the Inbetweeners.

Clue.....impossible .
The engine was probably a Zetec or CVH tuned up with a turbo or something .
