BMW Z8's

Nice to look at, but generally it didn't live up to expectations.
Indeed, that has not stopped it becoming a real collectors item though. I think there are also Alpina variants.

I remember before I got my E39 in the mid 00s looking at E31 8 series they were relatively inexpensive to buy, but they along with the E24 6 series have skyrocketed in price.

I think a lot of these prices don't necessarily relate to prestige or rarity. Some of it is just what grown men in their 40s or 50s with purchasing power were seeing as Halo cars in their youth and have always lusted after because it was something that's just stayed with them and viewed with rose tinted specs

Out of their mind. Its not partic low mileage, has the issue where it runs the battery down and doesn't even have the right wheels. My V6 one must be worth even more!

Thank you for the compliment. Here is a current photo of mine. Now I ask you, would you rather have mine at £180,000 or the other at £430,000? There are loads like mine on the market and a number of 1962/3 cars have been failing with estimates of £150/200,000. Indeed, I may be overvaluing mine even though it comes with 40 years of history and four ring binders of bills yikes

That is lovely thumbup

That must be a typo and should be £1500? It's even got a headlight out, which requires an auto electrician. Speakers are broken too, and a missing bottle cap under the bonnet.
I think £1500 is a stretch.

I thought that, but he's repeated the price in the description. So it's £15 grand for something that's going to need hundreds spent on it to get through the MOT and wouldn't even be legal to drive with the faulty headlight. If he thinks that to say it's in good condition is an understatement, I'd hate to see a car he thinks is in bad condition.

Why do people list work they've had done whilst emphasising that 'it wasn't a cheap job', yet actual cheap jobs like getting a replacement bottle cap aren't done.

It's the thingy you put your key into, easy to replace apparently.

The speakers thing will be the under the seat amp having got wet from the scuttle drains being blocked and it flooding into the footwell

Be quick, it has now been reduced to £14k, but the listing has been updated to include this:

"Engine Light is now on (MIL light). Several instrument warnings i.e. Headlight Levelling Malfunction, Air Bag light on, Traction Control light on, ABS light on, battery light on.

Power steering failure. Now grinding. Power steering leak (smoke coming from under-bonnet, I would suggest).

Engine will not now start."

What?!

He probably needs to utilise some of the 30 boxed fuses he's graciously including in the sale.

You'd think, that's probably about the right price, but it also says "£14,000.00" in the listing as well as on the actual price

If you're going to ask £42k for an Impreza that only 3 years ago would have barely been worth £10k you'd think they would at least spend a few hundred getting the alloys refurbed and a bit of cosmetic paint tidied up on the peeling lacquer and flaky red manifold...
