Maybe they took it rallying or something...
If it was a Merc or a Lexus, a big load of faults showing up at the same time usually indicates a battery on the way out.
However, in my experience, GM era SAABs (and their Vauxhall brethren) don't get their knickers in a twist about a failing battery. They just refuse to start if you let it get bad enough.

It's almost certainly a fault due to some common circuitry... A SAAB expert will either be able to fix it quickly and cheaply. Or, they won't. thumbup

Anyone for a £200,000 2001 Mercedes SLK 320?

No, it’s not a typo. £200k.

Ok, it’s a Gullwing replica and it looks ‘ok’ - nice detailing and some real parts. Oh, and technically it is still a Mercedes at least.

Strong money, you could buy a decent, real, 190SL and a Pagoda for that cash though I think, well nearly.

I vaguely remember Mercedes take a pretty dim view of these - they’ll crush them in front of you.. so after you’ve bought it don’t let anyone see it.
Have to say, from the photos, that is mighty impressive. Would have me fooled.

lol @ that SAAB

"Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all round (may need changing at some point"
most tyres do unless you have some of those magic tyres that regenerate tread when sitting still.

the seller must be on medication silly

Are cars the only thing where sometimes people ask for prices an order of magnitude higher than what the market will support? I can't imagine someone with a house that might sell for £1M deciding to put it on for £10M just to see what happens... Even when there isn't an estate agent involved to refuse the stupidity.

The £14k SAAB seems to be either an "I know what I've got" idiot who has seen a rare and mint condition SAAB go for a lot of money and assumed his must also be worth the same, or he loves it and really doesn't want to sell it but needs to be showing willing to his better half.

It does look good ... other than budget 'Event' brand tyres. You want £200k, could at least put something better on it.

What’s that website called where you put in a VRM and it brings up car history, old advert photos, reg changes etc?

Then if you want full history you can pay a few quid for more?

Used to be Carnapper and Cazana but both are gone/changed now. Vcheck is a bit of a holy grail to me, I wouldn't buy a car without it

I'd dispute that. The rear suspension seems to be attached by a some giant Meccano bits

Out of their mind. Its not partic low mileage, has the issue where it runs the battery down and doesn't even have the right wheels. My V6 one must be worth even more!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAAB-9-3-93-Aero-Annive...

Be quick, it has now been reduced to £14k, but the listing has been updated to include this:

"Engine Light is now on (MIL light). Several instrument warnings i.e. Headlight Levelling Malfunction, Air Bag light on, Traction Control light on, ABS light on, battery light on.

Power steering failure. Now grinding. Power steering leak (smoke coming from under-bonnet, I would suggest).

Engine will not now start."

What?!
laugh That's a lot of new faults to appear all at once!
Maybe it should be £1400 not £14000 scratchchin

Still wants scraping regardless
Saab sounds a real pile of cr5p.
That's a breaker, £400 at the most.

The listing has ended now, so eBay is suggesting other 9-3's for sale. There's quite a selection, all in better condition and a much more attractive buy than this one, all of them below £2500. Mental how chappy even thought his was worth £14k!

Intercepter prices vary greatly. This one is likely worth around £80K.
There's a 13k mile one on Classic Car for £145k. Rust free lhd all original.

rofl Gold.

I’d quite like something from the nineties when the market drops so look in every now and again on various sites and it is funny seeing some of the prices on some cars.

The seller appears to have a few board games for sale too on eBay: a snip at £22,000 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114921559493?hash=item1...

I wonder what he ended up accepting for the Saab? smile
