1965 Restored Morris Mini Moke, Swiftune Racing Engine For Sale

£39,995

I dunno that this is an especially unfair asking price.

What is it worth unrestored, how much did it cost to restore, how much are the modifications worth? In the dope smoking days when these things were made they would not have been so well turned out so the condition has been raised well above standard.
Probably still not worth £12,500 more than a brand new one. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202201191...

(OK, not quite the same, but an interesting comparison)
UK built Mokes are very rare, hence strong money. 5M minis produced, 15k UK Mokes built <0.3% most of which will have been scrapped now.

Most were built in Australia, then Portugal.

Straight out I have no idea what this should be worth. Initially doesn’t shout over priced to me, I just assumed anything of that era was making that money now, especially poster cars.

That diabolo seems pretty cheap to me, when you compare it to that P25 prodrive car... I know what I'd rather spend £500k on!

Guide value for an early car at the moment is £120k to £180k, so do the low miles really add that much?

IMHO one that has been regularly used is a much safer bet

This won't ever be used thought will it, it'll remain in timewarp like new condition forever, sat in a collection I imagine similar to where its been. Sad times

I can only assume their water supply has been contaminated at that price.

Not really in the league of other posts on here, but I can’t get my head round paying £10k for a 20 year old civic

Given that a rough 150k mile one is £2500 these days I think that is pretty well priced tbh

Still on the original tyres, so they are about 30 years old then

I think these sorts of cars are available for 'a couple of grand' initially but get spotted and bought up specifically to have a £10k sticker on.

If it wasn't a 5-door think how great it would be as a first car for someone. Not a bad price. But not worth overthinking given it's overly practical formation.
