Cannot open bonnet - any MOT implications?

Braking system hydraulics need to be checked under pressure, servo hose for vacuum leaks, power steering system for leaks, prescribed areas for the braking, steering and suspension components, headlights and other bits for security and corrosion, also an oil level check is advised and if diesel the oil temperature really needs to be measured.
If you can get the bonnet to open, attach a loop of cable to it that can be accessed from the outside to open it, that's all that is required, not a fully blown as left the factory repair. The bonnet is required to latch securely for the MOT.
So no worries on that part at least If you can get the bonnet to open, attach a loop of cable to it that can be accessed from the outside to open it, that's all that is required, not a fully blown as left the factory repair. The bonnet is required to latch securely for the MOT.

UPDATE.....
Took the car in for its MOT today, with some plastic trim in the front passenger footwell removed, to expose the bonnet release lever and the dangling bonnet release cable. Also present in the passenger footwell was a pair of pliers.
From the MOT viewing area, when the bonnet was opened I can only assume my pair of pliers were used by the MOT tester, to yank the dangling cable.
No eyebrows raised or questions asked after the test.
It passed with no advisories.

Well, from your OP, "bonnet will not open" is very much not the same thing as "bonnet can only be opened with a pair of pliers". You'd have got different responses and wasted less of everyone's time if you had made that clear. Glad you have your MOT though.Took the car in for its MOT today, with some plastic trim in the front passenger footwell removed, to expose the bonnet release lever and the dangling bonnet release cable. Reads to me like he removed the trim and put the pliers in the footwell AFTER taking advice from this thread. Good job IMO.

Apologies for wasting your good time, Sir.If you kindly send myself your itinerary, one will endeavour not to waste Sir's time in future communications.
As has been correctly surmised above, at the juncture of my original posting, I was unaware that the boot release cable could still function with the aid of some pliers.
Merry new year one and all.

OP: fk me PH, help, I've got a flat tyre and I need to get somewhere urgently, what on earth can I do?
PHer 1: well, you could call the AA?
PHer 2: have you thought about trying a can of flat-mate?
PHer 3: I have a spare wheel of the correct size which you could borrow
PHer 4: etc etc etc
OP (multiple responses later): actually, I didn't mention at the start of this thread, I let the tyre down on purpose myself, but I've got a working foot pump here which I can re-inflate it with.
Spot the difference? Nope, me neither, ad infinitum! My point being, there are an absurd number of posts from cry-wolves who ask for input on something they already know the answer to. But I'm long enough in the PH-tooth not to expect anything different really! Or, indeed, thick enough in the PH-skin to fully expect a few nobs to jump on the "oooh, who can we beat up now" bandwagon! PHer 1: well, you could call the AA?
PHer 2: have you thought about trying a can of flat-mate?

I've had an advisory for 'oil level low' so I inagine they do open it.
Common with some testers, who fail to remember that CORRECT METHOD OF CHECKING OIL ON A HOT ENGINE is to let oil drain back down .I've had this twice, to find that at worst, oil is at half level, ideal for a turbo charged engine, where excess oil can cause over run/ engine damage and cat problems.
