Parking Next to the Same Model

Parking next to the same model was all fun and games, until we discovered it’s the behaviour of stalkers.

When I was moving cars, I had to deliver a secondhand black Audi S5 Coupe to a customer at his work. Okay, unusual, but not unique. He worked in a hotel and asked on the phone if I could park it in front of the hotel. He added that there would probably be an Audi there and, if so, could I park next to it, if possible. Okay, unusual, but not a horror film yet. When I arrived, I parked next to an almost identical black S5 Coupe. The owner came out to look at his new car. He greeted me, thanked me for delivering his car and set about comparing his car with its twin. Yup, pretty much identical; same year, everything. "It's my boss's," he beamed. "I wanted one the same."

I didn't ask for a lift to the station. I waited for a bus.

Had a similar thing years ago. Came out of a shop, walked round the corner and tried to unlock my dark green five door Civic, but succeeded only in setting off the alarm. Then I noticed my Civic trree cars up the road and realized I was trying to unlock someone else's dark green five door focus!

Came out of some services on the M1 many years ago following a young couple, she walked down the side of my maroon Vectra as I got to it and unlocked it. He walked two cars further on and unlocked his maroon Vectra.

She apologised as she got out of my car . . . . . .

In the GPT days the works car parks were full of Vectras, Calibras and Omegas.
