Came back to my QP a while ago and she'd been joined by a young upstart.

Also a couple of years ago I parked up in Hyde Park and these two joined it at various times during the day.

I once came back from shopping to find my Subaru had made a new friend.

Never going to get the same model here in the UK so a family member will have to suffice. laugh

a bit sad but I also do this! Reminds me of the mutual wave people give each other if they drive by each other in the same model.

I aim to do this if/when the opportunity arises.

I do this when the opportunity arises but I also do it with any interesting car I see parked up, just to get a gander at the interior! I'm frequently referred to as a "massive loser" by my OH as a result!

I'm guilty of this - mine is the one to the left;

It was a trim level higher but was spec'd in the same colour (Cayenne Orange) as mine and upon returning, the owner of noticed my Fabia and was happy to discuss his mods and trade stories about this era of the Fabia.

I've done it a couple of times:

Mine on the left.

Mine on the right.

Got to my car in a long stay airport car park and found it had made a new friend whilst I was away

Twingos Together by blayney1989, on Flickr

Put a smile on my face on a rainy morning back in the UK!

I've done it myself when the opportunity presents itself, anyone else?
I do this but have even had it go one step further.

I owned a MX5 and ex owned a Twingo, we would take whatever car was at the top of the drive. Often we would meet in town and park next to each other. Her Twingo was blue and my MX5 red. I came out of Costa one day and thought she must be around somewhere since she was parked next to me, it was only after checking the reg plate I noticed it was a couple of letters different from mine but otherwise identical. This happened twice in one week but the next time I was in the other car, very freaky and I should have taken pictures!

Now I own a Fiesta, it's actually hard to park without being next to one!

Is that... really... the UK NSX-R?

It's yours?

Am yet to see another parked S2000!

Managed this a good few years ago, they are all Astra Sri-Turbo's. Only 50 ever made in red, mine was the right one.

Anyone beat a triple smile
As you sort of "cheated" by using a Vauxhall show ,how about a quad amongst 47 iirc in total.

couldn't manage same colour
That must be a special edition as I'm sure there were far more than 47 escort cosworths in the uk ? Monte Carlo ?
I still have an itch to scratch with one of those. They came out when I turned 17, and I spent hours with my nose to the windows of the old Swindon ford showroom. They had a mallard example with leather.
I see they're going up in value now too

I'm also guilty of this.

Out of interest though, am I the only one who assumes that any and every other model of car is in some way 'eviler' than my car's brethren?

It is the UK NSX-R but I am afraid it is not my car. Had a quick squirt in the spare seat though.

Yep, I do this as well..

(Apologies for the crap quality, had to zoom the photo loads!)

(I know the last two are Mk2s rather than Mk1s, but it's the thought that counts!)

I've been calling it McLaren Orange. Mine looks like the one on the left. At work car park we had the fabia (one new shape, two old) plus an Octavia. Due to shift we all parked at the same time next to each other.

What's the record seems like three in a row so far.

It has been nearly two years since I have even seen a car identical to mine, yet alone parked next to one!

(Because it is such an unpopular colour and spec!)
