Don't get hung up on needing a gearbox from a truck.
That does seem to be the consensus among those with experience, but I can't imagine it. Surely if manual conversions were somewhat cheaper they'd be more popular?GS300 wheels do work well.

I passed my driving test two years ago today...so that is a perfect excuse to go for a drive, isn't it?
Got me reminiscing about one of my favourite drives ever. What I'd give to be there now.Anyway, anyone got any experience of 2.8 Z3s? Nice ones seem decent value and it's sunny.

What BHP is that M3 making!? Is it a modified 2.3? Love the sound, the way it goes... what a car.
No idea without further internetting. However here is an article with Chris Harris. I haven't watched the vid but it may be that the details are revealed.
Watching the rally vid does really make me miss my old 2.3.
I'm wondering what will most likely provide similar thrills for a similar (at the time) entry fee. S2000? 190 Cosworth?
I like E30s and particularly the M3, were they down at their lowest prices I'd give one a go.. However I was looking around a nice example yesterday and now cannot un-see this. I know the boot is unique to the M3 but this just looks a bit wrong - The way the bootlid and spoiler just tapers off like that with the big gap. Minor I know but it'd bug me.
So the Mazda MX5, which I mentioned earlier this week has been offered to us as this.
Basically, a brand new 2.0 for £16,250 on the road. Can you get a better fun car brand new for less? I know it'll drop like a stone once the new ones hit the forecourt but after 3 years I can't see it being worth less than £10k.
The perfect reliable every day foil to something rare in the garage?
