How do you know he's worked hard? There's plenty of tossers out there who've had a big helping hand being in the family business when there's no way they'd cut it if they had to stand on their own two feet. Of course they don't see it that way and don't like to be reminded of the fact. There are few successful people who've started with jack nothing and not had assistance on the way. Who was it who said the first million is the most difficult and it's easy from there.

Started the business in 2001, by 2011 it was up to £36m turnover and £4m profit. Sold for £28m cash.
7x multiple? That's pretty racy.

No, it's not. Given the revenue growth, it's not a bad price at all.

Stupid way to spend a fairly limited fortune, but it's his money!

Some foul viewpoints in this thread. I think it's brilliant. He probably has loads of other cars (that's aimed at the poster that said it was unimaginative). His money, his choice.

Bloody good effort if you ask me, nice staging too - arranging to pick em up same day like that. I'd probably do the same if I had the cash.

Bloke near me has all three I think, he runs Knight Frank Monaco, not sure about the La Ferrari, but defo the other two...

Good job on the sharing and charity stuff too smile

I get irritated with things like this and no; I'm not jealous of him having those cars.

I know it's unrealistic but I just wish the world had a slightly better distribution of wealth. When you have seen some of the things I have seen then it really underlines how unfair life can be for some people who desperately need money to survive.

When I see people with so much it just bugs me, but hey thats life and I guess it will always be like that.

You are assuming that's all his money
You think they both came from nowhere and earned nothing as they built the business, then paid the money into a current account and spent the last 4 years just spending it?

OP - he's a lucky what? A 10 letter word beginning with b... Brontosaur?

Fair play to him although I'd be surprised if he is actually the first to own all three. Surely an Arab or oligarch would have got their hands on them before now?

I have very, very, briefly met Paul at an RMA track day with his P1 - we (missus and I) commented on the valeter who came along to clean it for him (it was going to be on telly!) and he seemed a down to earth sort of guy and was helping Mission Motorsport with passenger rides etc.

Good luck to him I say - apparently he has around 30 cars - so clearly a petrol head like us lot.

I'd personally rather be crying in a supercar, than laughing in a 20 year old banger biggrin
eek You really cannot be serious. Far better to be happy with whatever you do have than unhappy about whatever you don't.

Fair play to the guy, Christ theirs some bitter people on here!

At the end of the day, the money isn't gone, he could always sell them for a large sum, should money become tight......

Well done to him I would say. Seems to really enjoy his car and shares them with his friends. I am sure he is happy. If you are capable of happiness then you will be happy and money will help you enjoy it. I have been rich and I have been poor, on the whole I am happier rich.

As I said shrewd investment with the added bonus of getting to own and use three extremely exotic and desirable cars. Fair play.

Congrats to him, he should look forward to clutch replacements every 200 miles, especially with his wife driving...
Why especially so with his wife driving?

My wife is a much, much better driver than me...

How much do you think these 3 cars will be worth in 2,5, 10 years time? I doubt he will be poor ..

Only the Porsche will possibly lose money - but probably won't... These cars are about the best investment you can make currently, as long as there's no mega crash in the market.

Mr Atkinsons F1 seems to be making more money that Mr Bean etc at the moment, and that's been totalled!

I believe he was. He was viewing his Wraith which was the most highly spec'd one made IIRC.

P1 is my ultimate dream car, but all 3 look immense. Very envious!
