Hi gnc

Thank you for getting in touch.

We can only cover cars which are under 10 years old at the start of the policy - unfortunately we don't offer cover for classic cars.

Other PHers might be able to offer advice as to what kind of cover you need/can purchase, I'm just sorry that we can't help!

Good luck smile

Thanks,
Katie

I don't suppose you give discounts on extended warranties as well?

Hi Monty Python

Thanks for getting in touch.

Of course, the PISTON12 discount can be used against any of our policies smile If you do run through an extended warranty quotation on our website www.ala.co.uk/warranty please use the code in the promotional code box and the 12% discount will be applied.

If you have any other questions at all, please let me know

Thanks,
Katie

Hi Griff1980

Thankfully, fitting sidesteps wouldn't affect a GAP policy you have with us. Anything which is fitted aftermarket just isn't covered by the policy in the event of a claim.

I'm not sure how it would work from a comprehensive motor insurance perspective though. From experience its best to just tell them about any changes to be on the safe side biggrin

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
Katie

Do you insure newly qualified drivers at a reasonable cost.

Which cars are better insurance wise for a younger, less experienced driver and why?

Hi smifffymoto

Thanks for getting in touch.

GAP insurance can be purchased regardless of age or how long since you have passed your test.

Unfortunately we don't offer car insurance but I'm hoping that some other PHers might be able to give you some good advice abut it smile

If you do have any other queries please let me know.

Thanks,
Katie

Hi,

I'm looking into the Vehicle Replacement Plus GAP cover but just wondering what the excess on the cover might be?

Hi richatnort

Thank you for getting in touch.

I'm pleased to say we don't charge an excess on our GAP policies thumbup

We do pay up to £250 to cover the excess charged by your comprehensive insurer, if you are making a total loss claim.

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks
Katie

Just signed up for a vehicle replacement policy via the MSE link. Got a significant chunk off what Renault wanted for GAP on my new Kadjar.

Hopefully, it's never needed but who can see the future!!

Hi I have a quote from car2cover for RTI Gap for £229 (and then I can get 5% off with a voucher)

You quote for the same cover is £303.

Anything you can do? (Ref:101137)

Good morning rlg43p

Thank you for getting in touch.

We do have price match guarantee, so if you find a cheaper comparable online quote we can match the price. We can in this case offer our policy at the same price as car2cover, and if you would like to proceed on that basis please contact the office smile

Thanks,
Katie

I am looking at collecting a new car on Saturday. Do I have to take GAP insurance then, or can I contact you guys next week for instance?

Hi Michael

Thanks for getting touch.

We would suggest taking the GAP insurance out now to start on Saturday, so that you're covered from the minute you drive your car away. This is also because you get a thirty day cooling off period, so you can cancel the policy and get a full refund if you need to.

However, if you prefer you have up to 180 days from Saturday to purchase the policy so you can wait until next week if that is better for you.

I hope this helps and any other questions please let me know smile

Thanks,
Katie

Hi Michael

No problem at all - we do need to check a few more things to get you an accurate quote so it might be worth giving us a quick call.

If you're buying the car outright or on finance, as an example a 3 year Back to Invoice policy would be £166.32 (with the PH discount code applied of course! biggrin)

We will need a few more details and the quote process only takes a few minutes and the direct number is 01653 916301
