Not sure if this has been on here, but I happened upon this by Chain Bridge, between Abergavenny and Usk, the other day.

I got some very odd looks from the bloke living next door working on his old Mondeo on axle stands.

Butler Fuels still exists - trading name of Certas Energy. No longer selling retail petrol/diesel sadly.

Any chance of the location on Google Maps?

Just realised I didn’t post these last month and sorry if this has been on before, Rhayader (behind the auction car park).

Has barely changed - just a bit more overgrown.

I know the old garage on the waterfront in St. Mawes has been mentioned before on here, I thought some may be interested to read that there are plans for its demolition: https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/an...

Anyway, that wasn't the reason I asked you all here this morning, it was this that turned up a year out of date on Facebook.

On Facebook today from GloucestershireLive a year ago on the garage's centenary:

https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/special-feat...

Still going strong today.

With acknowledgements to all three organisations. I'm sure they won't mind smile
That top picture is great.. smile

Took the long way to work today, Going along the Falmouth-Redruth road (or the A393 to you and me!) and passed through Ponsanooth.

On the right hand side there has been an IMP petrol station forever. It normally has a few rusting old cars sitting around waiting to be scrapped and their fuel is never the cheapest, but you could buy............ Wait for it.................4 Star! Wow.

Anyway. It seems to be the end of the road.... The prices have gone. Replaced with a sombre date range...

It's a big old building, who knows what it will end up being used for!

See! 4 Star!

Ex-Gilbarco Basildon man here. Those pumps are Highline1s. Our first electronic pump with Nixie tubes for displays and the motherboard was based on the 8080 prototype layout from Intel. We had a lot to learn! In Scandinavia in winter the static caused by cleaning the plastic pump head made the display show random numbers!!! I have an original brochure somewhere. ETA Looking at the thread again it looks like I;m repeating myself-old age. smile

Search didn't reveal if this one had already been posted.

West Chinnock, Somerset. I would dearly love to see this restored to its period condition.

Good spot! It went into Rich Duisberg's book but not into Humer Unbeam. A scandalous error.

I drove down there specially too.

Thanks for sharing. Would like to see the brochure!

The houses are nearly finished. One still available for £595k. Someone’s done well out of the site! 5 houses on there.

I love PH for this sort of thing, proper interesting.

I've been keeping my eye on the site too. The original garage was such a cave of car stuff I'm sad it's gone.

Houses look typically new build.

The fens offer a rich supply of disused and abandoned stuff - from farmhouses and windmills to petrol forecourts and desolate glasshouses.

My Mum lives not far from Wisbech and we often transit via March when the A14 is being difficult. Odd area, not without charm, but still odd.
