Can't wait to see the coupe. Although I'm worried the RRP will start knocking on the door of £40k with options.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do when they attempt a more road-biased model. As long as they continue to offer a naturally aspirated engine as well as the turbos...

Can anyone far more talented than my help answer the question what one of these would look like all in one colour instead of the slightly gawdy three colour test card look.

One other option buy the new mazda mx5 and strip out and spend on it and its road legal just another thought I had.

I had placed an order for the E10 S, but then downgraded to the non-turbocharged car. I was worried that the enormous lowdown torque of the eco-boost engine would actually overwhelm the rear tyres and chassis balance.
This is the first review I've read of the eco-boost car and it's making me think I may have made the wrong choice.
I don't know whether you could add it back but I used to run an Atom 300 with 195 tyres... The throttle doesn't have to be fully on!

This looks better every time I read about it, and to my eyes the windscreen is a big improvement. Does it come with any sort of weather gear?

I also like the idea that the dumpvalve is cool again biggrin (Ex ricer here, have always loved them!)
There's a "Get home weather hood – £295" in the options list.

put a roof on it and lotus will have a very serious contender to the Elise. That ecoboost engine is the powerplant that Lotus should be using now in both the 2.0 and 1.6 from the ST range.

I've been curious since day 1 too, finally knocked this photoshop together to see. I like.

edit: Did the splitters etc too. There's quite a handsome little beastie hidden under there.

Maybe I'm misreading this, but you suggest that Zenos have re-mapped the car to avoid too much low-end torque being problematic in such a lightweight car. The very next line states that 295ft/lb of torque is available from 2500rpm.

Are you suggesting that the eco-boost in a fiesta delivers max torque at (say) 1200rpm?

Sorry if I'm being daft on this.
You're not daft it's not crystal clear what he meant. I think he, or Zenos, meant that it's been re-mapped for slightly less torque to avoid traction problems in the lower gears. Makes sense as it's so light and boost will come on a bit later.

Does it cater for taller drivers - as in 6-4+?
I'm only 5'8" (normal hight!!), but it feels like it would be comfortable for those over 6 foot. However 6'4" might be a bit short of leg room if you've got long legs.
They are offering test drives on the web site, so why not give it a try?

I think we have very similar tastes in road cars.

Me too, been following from the start, and am even contemplating seeing what this is like on the road, especially with the 'get me home' roof.

Whilst I love my Libra, I do hanker for a 'modern' Caterfield with decent ergonomics and a wonderfully biddable chassis. Low polar moment may be good on a track, but I quite like the almost telepathic ability to play with traction limits having the engine at one end and the driver t'other provides.

My usage is very different I think to yours though - a fairly long commute on a complete mix of roads, which is where I sometimes am on my toes and backing right off due to a nagging concern a lift at the wrong point will see me travelling backwards at a rate of knots!

When I view cars like these, I can appreciate their finely honed performance, though a powerful engine put into a car made of fag papers was always going to be fast & agile. My idea is to develop the McLaren buggy complete with a Nissan 3.5 V6, I'd call it err, a McLaren ?!....Sorry Maclaren.

Beauty eye of beholder - in my opinion looks rather visually challenging - looked it over at the Autosport show, some very ungainly angles, but wish Zenos every success we need these manufacturers and the performance looks rather exciting...

...True on both counts. Though I can't help but think, that with a little more imagination this could have been a track biased superfast Dino for the 21st century, instead of a plastic ? ugly duckling recycled pram !

No thanks for the great review and clip wink. Now I want one even more, but no exports sadly frown.
