I'm from Wales. When it gets above freezing we put our shorts on. Play rugby. That kind of thing.
Eee, wen it cold we huddle round t'candle. Wen it real cold we light t'candle. Proper grit.Don said:

Noticed a growing trend of this
1. Driving along following someone through a 30/40 mph suburban/village type road.
2. Car infront gradually starts slowing down for no reason. No visible hazards in front. Ease off to maintain gap.
3. Brake lights go on, now down to 15 mph.
4. Finally indicator goes on at the last minute to show they are actually turning off down a side road.
Ffs, indicate your intentions not your actions basically as or after you after are doing them. You can hazard a guess what they are up to but it's not correct all the time as drivers seem to yo yo speeds, decide they are turning off one direction when road positioning would suggest otherwise, change their mind and carry on etc...

They're probably lost or were looking for the turning. Have you been lost or looking for a turning in an unfamiliar area?1. Driving along following someone through a 30/40 mph suburban/village type road.

I would argue that every driver in the whole wide world has done this:1. Driving along following someone through a 30/40 mph suburban/village type road.
2. Car infront gradually starts slowing down for no reason. No visible hazards in front. Ease off to maintain gap.
3. Brake lights go on, now down to 15 mph.

Looking for a destination. Getting close, but not too sure. Slow down. See the sign, landmark, street name. Indicate. Turn.
( I did this exact thing yesterday.)

I don't feel the cold like some people so shorts and t-shirt away from work most of the time.
Our house is well insulated so even in the depths of winter there's no need for jumpers and thermal underwear.
What's the problem?
I was walking round the supermarket yesterday in jeans and a t-shirt, couldn't believe the number of people in thick jackets and scarves. Scarves FFS!!! Knobs the lot of 'em.
i feel the cold , because of health issues, so today i was wearing several layers and a parka. but if i see someone in shorts , it does not upset me . inland ,by the way Our house is well insulated so even in the depths of winter there's no need for jumpers and thermal underwear.

Just ripped of a dash cam and zoomed in. Sorry it's not professional quality but I think if I were to try and drive whilst also taking photos I'd get in trouble considering I'm right next to a bloody Police station!ashleyman said:

I'm guessing you're responding to my potato jibe, I did hide a smiley face at the top and guessed it had been pulled from a dash cam. And you're right, badging a 1.0 Lupo like that = knob.

My reply did say something like:

No idea what was going through this guys head when he decided to badge his Lupo as a Mercedes AMG.... I did hear him come up behind me before I saw him. Wonder if he has an AMG V8 under there or if it was just a hole in his exhaust, if he even has one...

I am. But for some reason it's quoted the wrong post and half my reply was missing... Not too sure what happened there.

They aren't bad little cars when they're left alone. He's hardly going to fool anyone is he. The only engine swap I know of with the Lupo is the 1.8T Vag, but that wouldn't warrant stupid badges.

Is there a thread for people badging their VW Lupo's as MB AMG cars?
Yep. Should fit on this thread - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=61...Annoyance number one:
It's probably already been said somewhere in the last 100 pages, but all the little chav-mobiles driving round at any time of day, any weather with the headlights and fog lights permanently on.
Annoyance number two:
Sticking badges for higher performance versions onto your car (tdi focus with ST badges etc.)
Annoyance number 3:
Where I live, there's a ridiculous amount of speed bumps, and whenever I come down the road, there is always someone who thinks they need to brake to under 10mph for each one, they will then speed up for about 25 metres before slamming on the brakes again.

Jebend I was following near Lanark yesterday. Caught up with him as we approached a village. Slowed to 20 mph for the entire 30 limit village (regardless of hazards or lack thereof). Once we got clear I overtook. Next village, decides he wants to do about 35-40 mph in the 30 limit, right behind me.
Bonus points, he hoofed it out of the 30 limit like he was expecting me to chase him or something. I didn't, but caught up at the next bend as he had no idea how to take them at more than 40 mph.
