Full beam idiots.
Tonight I drove from one side of York to the other through town, about a half hour drive. Saw 4 driver driving with their full beams on, and despite being flashed by everyone didn't notice. Most annoying was one behind me, a Scenic with full beams and foglights, didn't respond to oncoming vehicles flashing or my fog light flashing, they pulled in to drop someone off and when they came back up behind me they only had their sidelights on, utter idiot. Also just to add to the idiot tally in my half hour drive, one person without any lights at all and two with just DRLs.

its the auto generation.auto lights, auto wipers, auto park, etc.
I don't need to do anything. Car does it all by itself. Gives me more time to facechat.

That doesn't make sense. Auto lights come on when it's still light; they're overly safe. If people can't see the road in front of them isn't illuminated at night, then that's serious lack of brain power; nothing else.auto lights, auto wipers, auto park, etc.

Annoyance number 3:
Where I live, there's a ridiculous amount of speed bumps, and whenever I come down the road, there is always someone who thinks they need to brake to under 10mph for each one, they will then speed up for about 25 metres before slamming on the brakes again.
I do this and I do it to protect my car, which is very low to the floor and has exceeding stiff, unforgiving suspension.Where I live, there's a ridiculous amount of speed bumps, and whenever I come down the road, there is always someone who thinks they need to brake to under 10mph for each one, they will then speed up for about 25 metres before slamming on the brakes again.
Please explain what the issue is and why I should risk damaging my car for the sake of a few seconds?

I also slow down for speed bumps, that's kind of the whole point. Please explain what the issue is and why I should risk damaging my car for the sake of a few seconds?
How fast would you prefer to go over them?
A34 South from Oxford. I'm in a line of cars going at 70 mph past some lorries. Dual carriageway, no issues. Cue Mr White Van man. Mr White Van man who also doesn't want to do more than 70, so been around the same bit of asphalt as me for a while. Anyway, he pulls out from behind the lorries close behind me. Then he doesn't back off, he gets even closer. I gave my windscreen a quick spray at this point. He starts flashing his headlights at me. I tried to slow down and let him past, but there was nowhere to go. The road in front is clear though. So I floored my little Skoda Citigo. He's still flashing his headlights as he fades into the distance. Within a minute I had half a mile of a gap and my first experience of 3 figure driving. I slowed back to 70. Next time I see him, I've slowed down for roadworks. He hasn't. He flicks me off.
The last time I saw him, it was on the roundabout between the A34 and M3. Going through a red traffic light.

Another 'Traffic Light Special' last night. Silver Astra behind me, baseball-cap wearing dildo behind the wheel (I can't describe it as 'driving'). Approach traffic light at busy crossroads in a queue of traffic. Lights go amber and the car in front, (although doing only 20mph or so so easily able to stop) chances it and goes through. Lights go red, so I stop accordingly. Mr.Astra decides that's not in the Highway Code so accelerates and overtakes me to go through a clear red light. On red for at least a full second before he ploughs through it. I shouldn't be amazed at this anymore, as I see it far, far too often.

I can't get my head around this. Did you move back left, or just slow down in the right-hand lane? If the road ahead was clear, then having moved left he could have gone right past you.The last time I saw him, it was on the roundabout between the A34 and M3. Going through a red traffic light.

Yes, on my car, someone originally paid extra for auto lights/wipers- no idea why as I am quite capable of deciding when or if I need to use either- plus if auto lights suddenly come on by a sideroad/junction, someone might think you're flashing them out when you're not!
I've had auto lights for many years and not once has it ever been interpreted as flashing someone out. They just don't look like a headlight flash when they come on, because they're dipped beams, not full beams. Not to mention if you're flying along with clearly no intention of slowing, then people would tend to ignore your lights in any event.Auto wipers are actually something I miss too, because they allow more variation of speeds than a normal intermittent wiper control and you don't have to fiddle with them every time the rain changes intensity.
The (young) muppet in his, presumably, new to him cream coloured Leaf. He apparently couldn't judge the size of the car so went overly wide around corners and along cars parked at the side of the road with traffic coming at him. He couldn't decide what speed he wanted to do, he only hit thirty in a thirty zone as he passed through it as he bandied between twenty and forty. His eye's (and presumably his hands) rarely left the screen that car has judging by the speed he was at in NSP area's and the amount of movement from behind the wheel that I could see. In fairness he did hit fifty at one point, I'm assuming this was down to him showing that it could accelerate faster than my petrol guzzling baby hedgehog killer (which guzzled more petrol than it would have because of his st driving).
In addition to all this he'd brake for no visible reason (the vehicle in front was a good thirty feet down the road) and take his foot off the throttle, more than likely to put a bit of juice back in to the battery as this seemed to coincide with the head/hand movement.

The two cars on the M56 swapping and changing lanes in a traffic queue.
A BMW and a Merc, both apparently desperate to get where they were going were chopping and changing lanes like crazy, cutting up other road users and generally being a pain in the backside. Sometimes it would work and they would get one or two cars ahead - sometimes they ended up further back than when they started (as viewed from the perspective of my car's position) as the lane they just joined grinds to a halt..
At one point they even flew up the off slip at a junction - and then down the other side to rejoin the queue a couple of hundred meters ahead of where they would have been.
The thing is - not long after this junction - the queue cleared and we were back up to 60-70mph. That couple of hundred meters they gained in all of their maneuvering translates into what.....7-8 seconds of elapsed time.
Why do people do this. It just slows the traffic queue further and gains them basically nothing.
