I have a problem with my bmw e46 330d 2003, I had the swirl flaps removed 2 weeks ago and until now the car has been going well. However on the way home the other night I lost the turbo power, and after about 10 miles after this the diesel heater light came on, I stopped the car and restarted it the heater light went out, but still no turbo boost.
The engine runs well and no sign of oil leaks or smoke from the exhaust, just no turbo power, the turbo is not making any noise, can any body offer any help?

If the pipes have split you should be able to hear it as it starts to build boost just get someone to rev it, if it won't rev then it's in limp home mode did you have the car remapped when you removed the swirl flaps, if there's a fault registering then get it read as you'll be able to identify quickly & easily.
Had the swirl flaps done by Motortechnic Kirkcaldy on 16th April they also replaced the inlet manifold gaskets and the ruber seal to the EGR and also cleaned the EGR valve, the car ran with no problems until the 1st MAY I dont know if they did any remap, will phone them on Tuesday and find out
