I'd agree, but what are mini holding back for a bump in power in 12/24/36 months time? I wonder what a remap would produce?
A remap (or more specifically a plug-in box) of my standard F56 Cooper S would push it from 190bhp to around 230bhp, in line with this JCW.

Take into account this car has a bigger turbo, intake and exhaust, a similar tune-up could be producing 260bhp+

The same (or very similar) engine is already making more power in the BMW they've used it in I believe, so it seems just a case of making it 'powerful but not too powerful' laugh

I've had my F56 'S since early October and still really like it - goes well, handles well, lovely place to be inside, quality is top notch - no issues at all after nearly 8k miles. Looks are subjective of course, I agree they look less smart than previous generations but new cars are generally bigger, I think it looks great when it's all cleaned up.

If so, it's also the same as in the engine in the current 320i and 328i (pretty much - minor hardware differences, I think, but mostly just boost).

Be surprised if it's not the 328i/330i engine, including the same turbo.
