Well over £50,000 for a FIAT 500 - are you mental?
Yes I agree with you GCB, spending money like this would suggest some sort of Head injury! As Dan would say "Indeed"

So the base version of the biposto is on an approximate (very rough and somewhat over) par with a mini JCW and has similar performance. At that end of the scale it isn't so insane

Once you add in the expensive special bits (polycarb windows, loony gearbox, fancy open case alloy gear shifter, all the titanium and carbon tickboxes checked) then it goes mad but given just how much those parts cost (titanium doesn't cost so much by the kg but is insane once worked into something useful, real carbon - not silly stick on lookylikey film and a bacci romano gearbox) it is mad, really mad but only because someone decided to do it properly in small numbers.

so mad? definitely but with big respect for having the balls to do it and significantly better value than the cynical Ferrari/Maserati badged tributo editions.

The standard A500 is a proper b-road weapon but needs a certain degree of aggression to get the best out of it - even if that does mean a rapid demise to the front tyres. Sounds like the 695 holds true to that philosophy

The Abarth is in A1 as it has a 1368cc engine, so with the multiplication rule of 1.4 for forced induction it works out at 1915cc.

Going well at Gurston, HorneyMX5, and looking good through Hollow!
