All well and good, I still find it strange you think it strange they got away with it.
Im not defending the actions of the Fiesta driver, im just puzzled as to why you would rather they have a (serious) accident...?
I didn't say I wanted a serious accident, maybe something to st them up a little and make them think about how they drive. Sometimes it takes that to get people to be more sensible. The more they get away with it the more likely they'll end up killing someone innocent.Im not defending the actions of the Fiesta driver, im just puzzled as to why you would rather they have a (serious) accident...?

Here's one from my recent road trip to UK and back, Fiesta driver being a little daft. To be fair that's the only incident in the whole trip, in general I've found the road manners pretty good.

If that had been a collision I'd have put that 100% tractorhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnwGJYR-9Gc
Its got blinking orange lights on both sides of the cab top, so you dont reallu know what its going to do. Its kindly pulled over to the left on a straight piece of road with traffic behind. Who wouldnt assume that was to let traffic past?
Then without checking its turned right across overtaking traffic
Actually it did check luckily but very late

Tractor at least partially to blame. I would think long and hard before pulling left like that before swinging right. It looked to all the world like "Go past!" unless you could see the indicator. An arm out of the window and keeping an eye on the traffic behind would have been sensible!
As a HGV driver who has to make many sharp turns at slow speeds in built up areas, country lanes etc as part of the job, I can assure you that you do have to think hard about such a manoeuvre, however time and time again the presence and use of indicators can make no difference whatsoever. On a daily basis I get drivers trying to pass me when I am trying to turn sharp right no matter how far into the manoeuvre I get. Building sites are the best ones, I can be waiting to turn, indicator on and unit already bending right but still some nugget will go for the pass as they are not paying attention and feel that their journey is way too important to be held up. As for the comments about the tractor driver moving to make the pass easy, sorry but I don't see a layby or any suitable place for the tractor to do this. It's rare enough to find one pulling over into a lay by or junction to let traffic pass but I have never seen one just randomly pull onto a verge, if anything my first thought would be "why is he slowing and moving over, what signals can I see, what's coming the other way? Ambulance?". Not to mention he clearly had a trailer and was opposite a field entrance. All things that the Fiesta driver wasn't bothered about never mind the clearly visible indicator.
Yes the trailer had no visible lights but shouldn't this make you pay more attention to the tractor no matter how wrong the lack of lights is? You should be approaching with caution, not braking up close and leaving yourself with no clear view, no space for aborting any attempt at a pass.
For me both at fault, tractor for lack of lights on trailer, car driver for being an ignorant, impatient but sadly common tool behind the wheel.

Apart from all the empty space ahead of them.
Impressive that you can see how much space was in front given the fact there was a van blocking the moment of impact. How do you know the cars ahead weren't braking? Doubt the Juke would have had enough power to get out of that anyway. This is why I get the fk out of the way when I see a truck indicating. It usually means I AM MOVING OVER NOW fk YOU LOT.Janesy B said:

It usually means I AM MOVING OVER NOW fk YOU LOT.You really are asking for a "blind spot" hit trying to move over when it's that busy. My guess is the trucker just wanted to get over and was expecting/ fed up of not being let in closer to his exit, which is very common these days, but still an inexcusable attitude to have behind the wheel.
However he did do the right thing by keeping pushing the car, as bad as it looks if he had lifted the car could have shot into other lanes and taken other vehicles.

I think I would be filling my pants if I was in that Juke!
Whats worrying there is it seems to be standard practice in that situation for the truck to continue pushing the car until its on the hard shoulder.I think I would be filling my pants if I was in that Juke!
Is that good or not? Are all cars that strong? How safe is the car driver?
Why not just stop and get the car to the hard shoulder on its own?

It's fine, the car isn't going to suddenly split open, and the car driver should be fine.Is that good or not? Are all cars that strong? How safe is the car driver?

I'd rather get pushed off the road than have him stop or worse still steer so that I come away from the front of the lorry and end up side on to traffic in a live lane...
Well said that man! Good old common sense reply and an attitude that is missing from most people these days in that driving is about anticipation.

You do think long and hard before pulling left as it's the only way you're going to make the turn into the gate on the right hand side. Arm out of the window? Have you actually seen a tractor?! (clue: the cab is very wide, the driver sits in the middle of it, they don't have wind down windows...)saaby93 said:
