I spotted this little beauty at the weekend and wondered if there are other cringe-worthy examples of people transplanting OE wheels onto a wholly inappropriate car.

I did once sell a set of (replica) 993 turbo wheels to a chap who was putting them onto a VW Passat (complete with rolled wheel arches!).

What the hell!

Damn I should have gotten a picture. I saw a BMW this morning parked up with the same Bentley centre caps!

What amazes me is who first works out they'll fit. Do they work in Quik Fit?

After about 2003/4 all vw group cars (bar the polo/up type cars) have the same 5x112 stud pattern. Bentley are part of that group. Not exactly rocket science.

So What? Its their car, the owner can do what they want (within law)

Never understand people who have a mini tantie over a random cars appearance

No, but again, it doesn't require a degree to work out if they fit or not (using existing wheels as a base).

your amazed by people knowing that the stud pattern of 'x' wheels will also fit another car? wow.

Dubbers love Bentley,Porsche,Merc,BMW wheels.

The most horrific ones tend to involve bmw x5 wheels (Tiger Claws)

+1, apart from your dreadful abbreviation of the word tantrum.

Lets be serious though, the probability is that the wheels were probably sourced this way at some point:

Its a look called OEM+

there are wheel offset calculators available online to work out how to fit your wheels of choice, and adapters are readily available for most PCD conversions.

There are clowns however who will double stack adapters and spacers, who do need their heads examined.

If they were genuine Bentley caps, they wouldn't be sat skew like that anyway would they?

Like the Rolls Royce ones that are weighted at the bottom and can spin to stay upright?
