+1 - when did turbo diesels start producing 100hp per litre? First TDs were more like 40hp/l. Not very PH but impressive engineering none the less.

Chuck enough boost at a turbo engine and you can make whatever power you want.

No and when you spec the portfolio up with similar options it becomes very close in price might as well have the LWB

OK. Can you have a supercharged V8 SWB that isn't an XJR? Some might prefer the SWB from a handling perspective.

Nope. Unless you are loaded of course and then Jaguar special vehicles devision may make you one if you cross their palm with enough gold

My brother has a SWB Supersport. He drives the car himself and he felt the LWB is too long - long enough to tip into unwieldy. He had a LWB 7 Series previously and regretted the extra length.

Most people seem to want the long version though.
