An Alfa Mito with the 3.2 V6 or as others have said, the Mk3 MR2 with the 2zz, hopefully mine will be acquiring one next year, will transform it into the car Toyota should have made from the outset.
I've just looked up what a 2zz is. It was available in the Lotus Elise, so isn't that kind of just a better version of the MR2 and including that engine anyway?

I was at Millbrook some years ago and they were testing a factory Vauxhall Astra Mark2 with a SAAB 2.3 Turbo motor.

That could have been a nice quick car
That would be cool. I still feel that the Astra GTE 16V was the best car in class.

VW should never gave canned the Up GTI. That would have been a bunch of fun in towns and for my short commute.
You can get one with 1.0 TSI turbo engine, but only in South America.

I'd like more cars like that. I'm not really interested in the 300bhp+ £40k+ 'super hatches'.. I'd rather have quick, fun versions of these little things.

I have the 60BHP up and have been waiting in vain for the TSI version. There's definitely a market for it, with the 500 Abarth and Twingo Dyamique S.

Probably would have made it nose heavy and spoiled the handling though?

A new Mazda 6 MPS.

The old Mazda 6 MPS was a right goer but a bit plain, the new 6 looks really nice but is slow.

Give us a new fast one!

Here is a new Mazda 6 btw

Think I like the older one better - that new one is like everything else in it's class - HUGE!

It must be nearly as big as a 90's S Class! Which could at least have a 5 litre V8 or 6 litre V12!

Nah, way smaller. While it's 6 inches longer, 2 wider, 1 higher than the MPS the S-Class (W140, 1991-1998) is another 10 inches longer, 2 inches wider and an inch higher again (and that's the "short" S-Class!).

Although it is yet another example of car's growing. frown

The Ford Start concept would have been so much better than the hideous Ka MkII.

Edited to add:

+1 on the Fulvia concept. How and why can a company put together an idea like this and leave it on the shelf? Cost? Safety regulations not met? Not brave enough? So sad when you look at the personality-free euro-boxes on the roads today.

Just about every Concept car I've ever seen. They are a complete wind-up compared to what eventually hits the street.
