Would an illiterate seller put you off buying?

I just sold a car to a guy who's spelling wasn't a great advert for our education system, it did not put me off dealing with him and he turned out to be the perfect buyer, no haggling, no questions, just wanted it and paid.
Not really the same thing. The question was whether you would have bought a car off him on the strength of an almost unreadable advert. One of the best mechanics I've ever known had to get His Father to write the invoices for him, as he wasn't capable of doing it properly.
He can read ok though, and can explain what the fault is verbally. He's borderline genius with making things and thinks differently to most people.
I think that he may have a form of autism or similar.

Presumably he would have had someone else write an advert for him as well? Knowing you have a problem and working around it is admirable, being too thick to even realise you are thick is not.He can read ok though, and can explain what the fault is verbally. He didn't advertise. He was so well known and recommended, that he didn't need to. He was fixing things when he should have been at school! Another friend of mine had a Range Rover that failed it's mot on a rusty chassis. The guy that failed it said that it was pretty much scrap, due to the extent of the corrosion.
He was quoted a figure to repair it, which would have been more than the value of the car.
I introduced them and the car passed the mot a few days later. The tester couldn't believe it was the same car at first.
