Stolen from the Aston thread.
What is it with RR owners? are illegal plates compulsory?

That one seems a bit drug dealery, if a neighbour had that I'd definitely think he was running a street pharmacy

Or its just a bit of fun to personalise a car, like track day changes, vinyls, etc, what's the harm; they are not illegally spaced, mis-represented, etc, so why are they in the crappy plates thread?

Quite a sad little individual if you take offence at a bit of fun, perhaps you are an older chap and didn't grow up with "text speak", as such for most younger folk the substitution of a number for a letter is in many ways automatic; not that anyone actually texts / writes like that who is literate, but certainly through school you would have picked this up.

I would add "BURNS X" in small letters at the bottom of the plate also just to save any confusion.

Here’s an odd one. From a distance it just looked like a naff “POO” plate but as I moved closer we saw a fixing bolt cover stuck to the bottom of the 0 (the front plate had the same), I assume to make it look like a Q... but why?!?

Haha I nearly bought that when it was first on presale with the DVLA a few years ago - there wasn’t mega interest in it at the time if I remember correctly

^^^^ I thought where there was no date letter (ie pre 1963) there was no restriction on spacing between letters/numbers?

I saw 6X on what looked like an old Roll Royce near Chelmsford Essex a couple of weeks ago, that plate must be worth a bit?
