Obvious answer would be P B0XAS on a Boxster, leftfield option would be the same spacing on a Citroën Berlingo with a 'show dogs in Transit' sticker in the back window. scratchchin

Nearly. P 80XA S

Not sure if it genius due to the boxer engine or a retarded misspelling of boxster.

I think that F1 plate is pony. Tin hat on, but I also think any plate with an age related prefix or suffix purporting to be a "private plate" is pony.
As we don't do (make your own up) "private plates" in this country all retained plates are "private". Even hugely coveted plates like "V8" are a product of the time they were first registered.

I don't see what point you are trying to make? Fair enough if you don't like retained plates but otherwise...

I mostly agree, but in th case of the Mac F1 I would make an exception as it's the model name.

Y 7HOR on a LR Discovery. Obligatory black cap on the 7 to create a makeshift T.

Another one that failed previous MOT's 3 years running for dodgy spacing (in addition to rust, rust, rust) laugh

Numberplates are just a means of identifying a car really. Nothing more.

The sheer desperation of some people evidenced by this and previous volumes of C124PPY plates to turn them into status symbols or exhibitions of wealth or a means of drawing attention to themselves is very revealing about the nature of those people who try to do so.

Haven't you said in the past you have a plate passed down through the family?

Peachy use of screw caps puts this otherwise perfectly OK 'plate here IMO.

I have. It was not entirely randomly issued to my Grandfather on his first car in the 1930s. wink

Rather than having it seen on the road everyday it's quite intentionally allocated to the car half buried by junk in the garage and so little used now it's still got petrol in the tank from January when it was MOT'd. The plate isn't really me if I'm honest and if it weren't for the long family history of ownership and the expectation of me being the custodian of it for future generations I'd cheerfully flog it tomorrow and give the kids the cash .

Out of curiosity I've Googled the three letters and one number it's made up from and nope, thankfully it doesn't inadvertently spell any word or common abbreviation in English or half a dozen European languages which I consider somewhat ostentatious on numberplates.

I'm of the mind that actually having a Real Good plate is OK if that's your thing - you'll have guessed I'm not a huge fan myself - but pretending you have a Real Good plate by messing about with a everyday one making it illegal in the process turns it straight away into a terminally C124PPY one and at the same time reveals a great deal about the person doing so.

Perhaps the worst I’ve seen in the flesh:
CB04 ROL

The screw on the front plate was much bigger and looks very much like a C on first spot.

Sorry! Saw it pulling in to the car park, was gonna go round and take a sly pic, but she drove off and I couldn’t get my camera out quick enough so that’s a crop from far away.

(Reads a bit like a court transcript that...!)

Firstly, don't just... don't.

Secondly, not sure where you put a screw in a 5 to make it look like an R?

Thirdly, really... don't.
