A couple from some Ford Insta feeds:R5 YH G / R5 YHG - Reads "RS Yeah G" apparently.
I want to know where the RS owner got his gel overlay Ford badge from because the company dmb graphics got told to stop making them by Ford years ago before that RS was even launched i think.
It’s a shame because they were really good I always bought black ones when I had black cars as the big blue badge just didn’t look good on a black car imo

Would it be safe to assume that the Ford owners are the worst offenders for chav plates? Range Rovers a close second?

Discuss.

No way. it’s BMW and Audi owners by far! Always illegally spaced and normally because they want neighbours to think there poverty spec 8yr diesel is newer than what it is so it looks like they have money.
The new embarrassing trend I’ve been seeing loads of over the last 6 months or so with BMW and Audi owners is sticking loads of M badges on there 116d/320d/520d M sport and then getting a private plate with M1, M3 or M5 on and same with the TDI Audi S Line owners the amount of A3/A4 SLines I’ve seen with S3/S4 on the plate is staggering especially considering they actually think people will think it’s real because it says so on the reg.

The German marques and Range Rover appear in the C124PPY plate thread way out of all proportion to the numbers actually on the road.

Curious and terminally bored one afternoon I went right through thousands of posts in a previous volume and winners by a country mile was Mercedes with over 50% of all the Chavplates spotted on vehicles from this one manufacturer. Some way behind but still in joint third were Audi and BMW then the mix went to a more or less evenly spread and random collection of anything from builders vans and Supercars to Commercial vehicles and silly girls cars.

Give the Mercedes market share in the UK hovers around 4-6% it's difficult to resist drawing conclusions from the relentless parade of Chavplated ones.

I can’t remember if I’ve posted this previously but it just popped up on my fb feed.

It’s not misspaced, but it is crappy for another reason. Anyone guess?

hehe unfortunately yes. Perhaps his name is Gary. It’s a Boxter too, so pretty much false advertising.

There do seem to be a lot of Fords and Ranges, but I would agree that there are a huge amount of people with old, low spec Audi/Merc/BMWs with private plates to disguise the age

The plate a few years ago when it belonged to a previous owner.

The plate with its new owner:

The previous plate (R9 FTW - sorry RS For The Win rolleyes ) the FRS used to wear (before the new one above):

The previous plate corrected after some "Police" issues:

Wow way to ruin a 30k car by wrapping it in camouflage and putting some monstrous Barry boy exhausts on vomit
The Fiesta further up looks horrible also. This seems to be a current trend with the Mk7Fiestas on the Zetec s/ ST line and ST variants slammed with big spoiler and twin exhausts on.
I hate to say it as I am a Ford fanboy but I think all the Chavs who once owned Corsa C and D’s have all jumped ship to the Fiesta since the hideous current Corsa was launched. They all seem to drive the ST Line 1.0 ecoboosts because it’s got a Turbo innit Bruv and looks like a real ST
